Thanks, I needed a good laugh.....

"Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends. We're so glad you could attend.....come inside, come inside" Karnevil 9; Emerson, Lake, and Palmer.

Well folks......It's "SHOWTIME"!!!!! Local TV, in a sad attempt to build ratings, constantly hypes "the sky is falling" when it comes to weather. National sources, interestingly, state the complete opposite. The show is rain or shine and I'm betting we'll only get some cloud cover and maybe some good sun and temps.

28th Annual Mustang and All Ford-powered Show, May 10th, Saturday at the Sears Parking Lot - Madison Square Mall. Registration begins officially at 8am followed by judging around noon and awards presentation at 4pm. LOTS of great door prizes, excellent goodie bags, 50/50, car/parts corral, and vendors.

nice one Hoss

I actually think it is going to be nice. Only 20% chance of rain. It sounds like it will be a nice day for a car show.

It's the 20th anniversary of this photo, taken May 14, 1988 after the show at The Mall.

FYI, the 427R pic (above)...was brought in from New Orleans. We had folks from Memphis, Atlanta, and even Okla. City. Maybe we should advertise more?! LOL

The 1973 De Tomaso Longchamps was *driven* from New Mexico. The guy was on TDY. He mentioned to me using a green marker to take care of a chip in front.

I believe our database-provided mailers and mass email is the key to our advertising success. I also believe that this year's attendance is a result of last year's show. And next year's attendance will be a result of this year's show. Word gets out on the quality of the show and is reflected in future attendance.

Nice job Mike. You did well. We'll expect another large crowd next year.

Major kudos to Mike. As I walked around and talked with as many people as I could, I heard not a complaint one. Everyone was having a good time and telling their stories.

I truly appreciate and am humbled by the many kind and supportive words received during and after the show. However, I want everyone to know that the show was (in my opinion) a huge success because of the commitment of the RCMC members who "made it happen". By saying, "Thank you very much" does not give each person enough credit.
Group hug!

Let's keep forging forward and take this spirit, energy, and commitment into our next event and so on........the club and all that we do will only be as good as you make it.

p.s. I'm exhausted, still have a few after-action things to do, but I had sooooooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got a show story for you.

I came across this guy who was wearing a hospital wrist band. He said he was a big Chevy fan and even has a Camaro that he takes to shows. His wife just gave birth to a baby that she persuaded him to name Shelby. Then she made him leave her in the hospital and bring her Mustang to our show. What a great guy.

That was a HSV police officer. He stopped by late Friday night and told me the story of the new baby (Shelby). His wife really wanted her car in the show and he had to juggle work, visiting her in the hospital, sleeping, and getting to the show before the noon deadline. Pretty cool!
