What should I offer for a new Bullitt?
Another "what should I pay question" but here it goes. Going to the dealer this weekend to check out a HG Bulllitt. Got an "internet quote" without any incentives for $31,365. Only options are 1) Antitheft $325, 2) Sirius $195 3) HIDs $525 and 4) Ambient $295. Total MRP is $32,865.
How much lower than 31K can realistically I go? I'm in the northeast as well (MA).
Thanks!

Not much more than invoice. The dealer will make money on the holdback and dealer fees.

When we were looking at Bullitts with the same options you list, I had one dealer that would have sold it to us for 28630. As a matter of fact, they had two identical, and gave me the choice of either one.. No incentives included in that. I had a second dealer quote me 29990 for the same car.
The price you were quoted, i.e. 31365 is too high for that car. That is about the price we paid for ours, but ours also included the Nav system, which is almost 2K....and the wheel locks, which are like 50 bucks....
Hope it helps. Depending upon my mood, and like or dislike for the sales guy, I would start at either 28K or 28500 for that car, and go from there.....

I'd say offer the dealer invoice and see what they say. If the dealer really wants to sell the car you can bet that they'll counter-offer. Given that the dealer still gets hold-back and incentives from Ford I wouldn't be too concerned about the dealer not making some money. And in any case either sides can always turn down whatever offer is on the table.
