No, but the build number will be on the strut tower brace of each Bullitt.

sounds like they just want you to rush in and pay more for it.

But considering production just started 3 Dec it seems odd they could get one in only two weeks, built the first day or not.

Does anyone know the actual assembly line process? Does it only take 1 day to build the car? How is the painting done- is it done the day before the car goes down the line?

About 28-32 hours to build a Mustang - start to finish.

no SN here for me yet either...hopefully soon!

it gives me hope though that Brian has a car on the way...since we are both in the PNW

my dealer friend tells me all 7,000 cars are spoken for already, now granted quite a few are for dealer stock, perhaps under "ghost" names?

They might not be spoken for- but they are probably all allocated for and if you want one you're going to have to go from dealer to dealer trying to get one.
If you want one I suggest you don't wait. Waiting and hoping to save a few dollars is just not going to be worth it.

Remember that the dealers are trying to build hype on new model SE cars. It's unlikely the Bullitt will carry a premium over MSRP. I think there'll be lots to go 'round.

The Bullitt is a package on the GT, but it doesn't seem to be handled quite the same as the CS/GT. They appear to have allocated certain quantity to each Region and from there to each Zone.
The original impression I was given was that priority was to retail pre-sold orders first, then dealer orders for stock, but some dealers are giving the impression that they have confirmations of orders for stock already.

It's not quite as bad as the GT500 allocations, although they originally announced 10,000 over three years for it and ended up building that in the first year. Some people even were able to buy two

With 7000 Bullitts for build, given that a few dealers may not even want one, dealers should ideally get two each, maybe more.

That is true, but three of my dealers (one I'm doing business with) already have their allocation filled and some people on standby if they get more from dealer stock. The thing is, I was the only one that wanted one until the reviews and official pics came out. I referred three guys to the different dealers. The rest just called out of the blue. I don't know, I think the majority of these cars will be spoken for by Spring. My salesguy said he never got the SGT orders filled that fast. He thinks it's the price with the heritage behind it.
