You must have missed one of my posts....the dealer had too many cars to try and get ready for delivery, so it won't be ready until monday. Sadly I have to work monday, and since I work 24 hour shifts I can't get it until tuesday
So for sure on tuesday I'll post my thoughts- I only hope the weather holds and we don't get snow.

As for the paint protection- I don't know the exact name, it's something the dealer applies.
I'm sure every dealer offers something similar.
I had the process done on my 05 and was very pleased with it. 3 years later and the water still beads up like it's been freshly waxed. The paint also has a very nice shine to it.

Way to go Whammer! I'm very happy for you! Did your dealer honour the x plan? Mine is A plan. I guess it really does have something to do with the dealer you ordered from that you got yours before me, because I put my order in 11/13/2007. Anyway, ENJOY!!!!

Laura,

I'll find out for sure on tuesday about x plan- but my dealer doesn't seem to think that there will be any problem.
I think I ordered around the same time as you did.
Anyway, we'll compare notes when you get yours- hopefully you won't wait too much longer.

Paint protection provides an warranty to prevent loss of gloss and fading due to sunlight or other environmental factors. It also makes the paint really shine- nothing crazy, it just enhances the look and keeps it in showroom condition. You also never need to wax your car and the water will bead right off it.
I had this done on my redfire 05 and it really brings the color out.

Here's a pic of me heading for the dealership!
NOW THAT'S ONE HAPPY LOOKING DUDE. YOU GO MAN.

GOOD HEALTH AND GOD SPEED

GOD BLESS
Schooner

that paint protection is called XZILON pronounced "zielon". They just started applying it to cars, its been around the aviation industry for several years. the dealer has an exterior application and an interior one for a few bucks more. the exterior package goes for about $190.00 here in NY. definiately worth it, guarnteed 5 years. Saw a demo where they spray painted grafitti one a car, let it dry and wiped the paint off without a scratch.

Thanx for the tint info. I had thought about it but never had it before. Thought it might look cool on the 1/4 windows. I love the louvers but the flush mount seems pretty intense to install and prone to scratches. The stick on don't look near as good as the flush mount and I am concerned about view. So you have convinced me to go for tint. Excellent job!!
Any tips for finding a good tint master?
Thanx!!!

This is the first car that I've tinted the windows on and I'm really glad I did- it just seems to add the finishing touches to this car.

I had the dealership install the tint. You might save a few bucks looking around but I wanted to get everything done at the dealership- I figured if I had problems it would be much easier to hassle them and get things fixed. A good dealership is also going to take some pride in having things done right and making sure the customer is happy.
