It's been up for sale on ebay before. I wonder if it's changing hands again, or if this is the original owner.

Oh, I hadn't seen it before. I just posted cause I'd love a mustang with that color.

Maybe it is a new owner or maybe it just didn't sell, either way the'll want to get rid of it before the real Bullitts are around.

New owner. Bought it from Miles Cook (original owner) less than a year ago. I think since Ford annouced the 08 Bullitt he decided to get rid of it. Buy it now for 27K.

If it's a top-notch repaint, and is still in like-new condition, that's probably not a bad buy. I'd sure want all the documentation to be in order, though. Someone will pay stupid money for that car in 20 years.

It is not. I believe Topnotch is into designing or engineering, not painting cars.

Exterior paint is very good. However, in the engine bay there are places they could not/did not cover well. Still can see the original yellow. Miles brought the car to the Bullitt Nationals in San Francisco this year. He bought it from Ford directly. Has a blow up of the front cover of MT that comes with the car among other documentation.

I am a HUGE Bullitt fan, and I like DHG.

But for some reason I'm just not feeling the S197 body style in that color. Looks kinda...drab I guess.

Maybe it's my monitor; the lighting that particular day; the angle the sun is at - dunno, but as it sits in that pic above, it ain't workin' for me.

I'm getting the same feeling. Hopefully the '08 will be a darker shade of green, that looks washed out in that picture. It would be nice to have a chrome grille surround and some bling on the car, too. The green doesn't lend itself as well to the monochromatic look.

I'm still buying one, though.

That particular green certainly doesn't.

Truthfully, if it looks that drab in real life, I won't be getting one. I'll go back to my very first choice: an '07 Redfire GT Premium. The Bullitt's performance enhancements are likely to be simple FRPP upgrades anyway, so those are easily added to a GT.

Wait till Ford announces features/pricing and dealers make the "necessary adjustments" unless you are absolutely dead set on getting one.

It is a significantly lighter color. It is supposedly the 68 highland green paint color.

The car does look nice but it has 21,000 miles on it and for just being detailed it sure is dirty inside.

I don't think Ford originally was going to sell it. They were going to scrap it due to the paint not being the greatest. It was just publicity stunt to get some free advertising for the new Stang. Miles Cook approached them and was able to purchase it.

here is a photoshop cleanup of the motortrend mustang.

Attachment 16441

I got rid of the GT badge, fogs, blanked the quarter windows in DHG and darkened the rims.

Doing those minor little changes really makes it look more agressive.

Attachment 16442

Oh, I also got rid of the Napa store.
