All the car images stored on TomTom are just small .bmp's , and for the most part a TomTom is just a portable storage device , found that out when I plugged the TomTom into my pc to update the maps and detection devices such as radar camera stop lights but when I plugged it into my pc I could browse all the folders and info on the TomTom.
Once I found the folder containing the artwork for the cars I had to "drag & drop" the new images from my pc folder over to the cars folder on my TomTom , Unplugged the TomTom and went into the preferrences till I got to the part to charge the car image and browsed till I found the 2 I just uploaded to it , was pretty simple considering someone else created the images I used.
I did try to edit my own actual car pic but couldn't get the background to cover completely so it looked like crap on my TomTom.
