Got my New Bullitt Friday
Got my New Bullitt Friday
Just got my Bullitt on Friday and I really like it. I ended up getting it for sticker price although I did have to travel 250 miles to the dealers showrrom.
I've been looking at pics on the internet that show an aluminum trim applique on the steering wheel. My Bullitt does not have it. Should it? Thanks.

NO on the Aluminum - If you have a full leather wrap wheel, that is the correct wheel. The GT 500 wheel is the one you should have.
In the spare tire well there is a foam block where the spare tire should be. Inside this piece of foam is the Ford fix-a-flat and a small air pump.
Oh... and by the way... welcome to the Bullitt family! If you haven't already, go register over at www.imboc.com.

The acceleration feels a whole lot better than my old '02 GT!
I realise why it was styled the way it was but it would be nice if everyone else knew it was a Bullitt. Would it be considered "ricer" to install a small "BULLITT" windshield banner on the car. It would be a subtle dark siver in the correct Harold Square font.

The Bullitt was never meant to be a bling car. Leave that for the insecure types that plaster their cars with way too much "look at me!"

They still wouldn't get it.
I'd agree. I think a lot of the appeal of the Bullitt is its tastefully restrained "sleeper" / Q-Ship aspect, quite in contrast to the typically overstyled performance car. Will draw less attention from the police, better allowing you to drive it as it should be too.

Instead of a windshield banner or additional Bullitt logos I would consider a personalized tag. I'd think the Bullitt logo on the strut tower brace, scuff plates, steering wheel, and faux real emblem would be more than enough to remind even the most absent minded of what they are driving.
