Good Deal?

Good Deal?
Visited the dealer today and priced out the Bullitt.
With options of HID, Sirius, Anti Theft, Ambient Lighting, and Shaker 1000 my price was $32,500.
California Tax: 2360.24
Govt Fees: 273.75
Doc Fee: 55.00
Grand Total: $35188.99
It does look like you can't have the Navigation and the Shaker 1000 together. So I have to decide on the Shaker 500 with the Navigation or the Shaker 1000 without the navigation. What do you think?

personally, I think the shaker 500 is plenty of stereo and you have more trunk space from the lack of subs. Also, I have a tomtom xl nav system and it works fantastic, so I didn't spend money on nav. What you have priced out seems about right. I would still try for x-plan. It will save a lot.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Didnt notice any ADM in the deal. True, you cant have the Shaker 1000 along with Nav. If you want Nav, you will be happy with the Shaker 500 - its a reasonalble factory system.
Let us know if you take the plunge.

Did you ask him what x plan pricing is? You should get all the numbers before you pull the trigger on the deal.
I would stick with the shaker 500- my 05 has that and I think it sounds great.

For the price of the Shaker 1000 you can price out an awesome component speaker system and a stereo amp that puts out 200 watts per channel of real power installed. Even without rear speakers that setup will sound much, much, much better at louder volumes than the Shaker 1000. Then throw a small sub in the trunk with a decent sub amp and you'll suddenly understand why people spend money for stereos in their cars.
As for the Navigation - it's a question of budgets. I'm not familiar with the Ford Nav system, but for $2,000 you can buy a top of the line aftermarket navigation system (try Crutchfield for an idea of what's out there) with DVD and a hard drive that'll hold all your MP3s. Of course there are decent systems you can get for $1,000 - $1,500 too. I'm sure the Ford system stacks up to the $1,000 parts.
And the portable navigation systems (Tom Tom, Garmin, et cetera) have one thing going for them - you can use them in any car you have, or without a car. But it's kinda like an expensive camera - if you tend to lose things then it may be best to have it cemented in your dash. : ) But for the price, you can't beat them - that's why it depends on your budget preferences.
The nice thing is the aftermarket stereo and nav systems are things you can add later if you don't want to finance everything at once.
Otherwise looks sharp for just under MSRP - exactly the build I'd get minus the Shaker 1000 and Nav system. Heck, the car looks sharp for MSRP too! = D
