Going though withdrawals
I was wondering, if a person was to dyno-tune there Bullitt , would that shorten its engine life?
I know that if our cars break down, it is considered an opportunity to mod our cars.
I love the dependability of the car.
The problem is that I love power and the noise of the Bullitt , I always want MORE.
Now that my car is in storage and I haven't seen it for 2 months now, and I won't take it out for another 4 months, that is all I think about.
Modding my Bullitt isn't as important as just driving it .
Sorry for babbling on.
That is what old guy's do

I guess when we take the Bullitt out of storage it will feel like a new car again.
I kind of got use to the car in the 6 months that I drove it, and was thinking of mods.
And like I said earlier is , I can't stop thinking about it.
I guess that is a good thing, If I didn't care I shouldn't own one :}

Ditto on that one.
But back to the topic. The reason for Dyno-tuning, is to IMPROVE the performance of your engine and all it's related components. Remember the Factory is hindered by CAFE legislation. You are not. Make that baby as lean and mean as possible. She'll run better, perform better, and yes, even get you better milage, when all the components work together at their peak.

did you put any fuel stabilizer in it before you stored it? That would also probably be helpful.
and you definitely want to run it every now and then. Even when I wasn't driving my Mustang II often bec I just wasn't around, every time I came home I ran it for a few minutes to prevent it from gumming up

.....and running the engine for a few minutes every week or two can be worse than not running it at all because moisture and contaminants can be introduced into the oil that would normally be burned off if the car is completely brought up to temperature and driven for a few miles. I store my Bullitt every winter and at most start it up once in 3-4 months (insurance is pulled except for comp, so no driving it), and my '08 will be driven at most once or twice a month from November through February, and that is only of the roads are salt and snow free, it isn't raining, and it is above 30 degrees. No problems with doing it this way for years on a variety of cars. I personally wouldn't put any of my cars in storage on jack stands though, but that is something of a matter of personal preference, I just wouldn't want my suspension at full droop for 4-6 months.

This video will help with the boredom for a few minutes: It's a Roush, not a Bullitt but entertaining nevertheless:

No withdrawls for me.
Tires are Toyo G02 Observe, 225/60R17 on Ebay take off wheels.
The car handles the weather great. I just took this picture, tomorrow I'll be driving out of this mess to return my new ill-fitting snowmobile helmet!
Here's another shot from the drive home to my parents for christmas. -31C, I still got almost 23 mpg, 104 kph average speed over 2-1/2 hrs.
edit: Does anyone know why these pictures don't appear in the thread with [img] tags, but only appear as links?

hey question...
I have some wheels here and they don't have TPMS
did those take offs have TPMS or do you just have a constant warning light?
I really want to put my other wheels on to see how they would look, but don't know if a TPMS light will be able to be reset or if it will cause any problems

The take off wheels had the sensors/bands on them, so I just had the tire shop teach the smart junction box computer that they were on the car and the tpms light never came on.
If you don't have the sensors the light will be on all the time. Honestly I'd consider going behind the cluster and disabling the light, since I keep track of what my tire pressures are and those sensors/bands are just another thing to deal with/break.
