Those stories second your sentiments but they miss the point on the upgrades, I would be interested in their views of the '07 Shelby GT and the additional $8,390 or the '08 which climbs to $10K over MSRP for similar if not inferior upgrades.
The cosmetics are done in excellent taste with all the components matching very nicely without being over the top. The '01 BULLITT was unique and IMO so is the '08

The only thing I would say about the $31,000 price is that it could rise that high with a Mustang GT Premium coupe and certain options. Whether or not that is value for the money probably depends on whether or not you would do the kinds of upgrades that are part of the deal for the Bullitt.
When the IMBOC server comes back up, I look forward to reading about the driving impressions from 2 of the members who had the chance to do experience it.

here is what i got for a nicely optioned mustang gt.
wheels, comfort, hid, int up, anti-theft, limited slip, gt appearence, lock lugs ~ 31170.
the bullitt with hid would be very close to this set up, for close to the same price!

well given the choice between a Bullitt and a Shelby GT if they were the same price I';d take the Bullitt any day of the week..but then you could have guessed that I suppose

sThat's the one constant on aftermarket tuners' Mustangs where mods and upgrades are designed as if the car's primary use will be at the track differing from Ford's view of balancing handling with comfort for daily driving.
The '01 BULLITT had that balance and the '08 will likely follow in its foot steps. The best of both worlds.

Exactly - depends on what you would want out of the car!

I think they made the interior too cheesy! What is up with the dash applique? What is that look called? Looks more 70's disco than 60's Muscle!! Should have stuck to the brushed aluminum or all black.

I know they list for $31,000 or so, but with the low production numbers, does anything think there will be a mad rush similar to the GT500 or the first SGTs when they came out?
Only thing that I'd change would be to block out the rear side windows with louvers like the original.

I'm thinking the market for the Bullitt might be exclusive enough that ADMs might prove fruitless. I'm not so sure there is going to be that rush to buy it that dealers could exploit. After all, look at all the people here whining about it looking boring or that it should be a high HP beast. Is that just typical forum babble, or is that also what the average Joe on the street thinks? Time will tell...
