to do list

So, the first things I am going to do to the Bullitt when it shows up are some things I have done to my 06 GT..and enjoy

Eibach pro-kit, Shelby spoiler, GT500 rear valance, web-electric sequentials and MRT hood struts

I havnt decided yet on the Borla exhaust, going to wait and see how the "tuned to sound like a 68" set up is.

doupt if I will do any engine performance mods, quite happy with the stock GT, and the little extra kick the Bullitt has will just be icing.

this is going to be my everyday driver and I want to keep it simple...as intended well, sort of..we all know how that goes, lol

whats on others lists?

I'll leave mine as it is for now.

Eventually maybe the sequential tail lights and hood struts. I hate the support rod on them.

I already have an agreement with my dealership to have their guy tint the windows. I've seen his work and it's GREAT for cheap also. I'll probably do hood struts and that is it.

if i get a bullitt, i will not do that much to it at first....

probably just the hurst short throw shifter, and motive 3.90 gears. 390 gears just so i can say i have a 390 bullitt gt!

eventual plans would be to add power without messing with the stock cai, stock cat back, or even the stock strut brace. maybe a blower if it will fit below the brace and fit the cai. maybe just some heads cam and long tubes and cut the cats. 14 inch baer brakes. do they make lightweight bullitt wheels?

and long long term goal is to add the street griggs suspension for track duty!

haha... very nice list.

If I don't like the shifter. I'll probably swap in a unit that can still use the stock handle and such to keep the oem appearance. Other than that, I'll just be crusin.

Assuming I'll still be able to get one in Mar/Apr/May timeframe of next year:

Hood struts
Sequential tail lights
Tint (if stock is not dark enough)

Down the road:
Baer brake upgrade
Watts linkage
Dual vented hood - if one is made that takes advantage of the stock hood liner, to keep the CAI sealed or is made to channel air to the CAI from the vents.
Track days at VIR

Watts linkage
Bigger brakes (absolute must)
Aluminum drive shaft

Eventually pull off the front and rear bumbers and do something like KL Jones- since the GT500 front is much more akin to my liking and looks mean.

My list would be something like this...
First thing to go is that nasty grill - I can't stand it. Maybe swap in something like a Shelby GT grill. Next is the ride height, maybe install something like the Eibach pro-kit. Some window tint and a nice set of deep dish 10.5x18 stock-style rims in the back and call it day...
Long term, I'd love to get a GT500 rear valance and a set of 4.10's.

What i want to do:

- Some sort of quarter window louver, possibly the silverhorse racing flush-mount ones.
- A decklid blackout panel, possibly silverhorse racing, 3d carbon, painted, or a flat black decal if i can find one. Not sure which blackout panel would be the best at this time.
- Possibly true-black bullitt wheels, depends on how they look when i get the car in. Will probably leave the wheels stock.
- Saleen PJ/Heritage front fascia if i can get my hands on one without the headlamp splitters.
- Possibly GT500 rear fascia.

I'll probably put in a one-piece aluminum driveshaft also.

If I were to get a Bullitt, I'd probably leave it as is for a while to see what I liked ot disliked. But a black mesh grille would look pretty cool!
Airwolf, you could go with a magnetic blackout panel finished in flat black. That way, if you didn't like it, you just take off. Check out www.latemodelrestoration.com . I think they look nice.

This would look great and work in AZ, but that low in NH I'd be dragging everytime I pulled in to my street.

jeez, almost forgot one of the most important items!

the shorty antenna...gotta get rid of the oversize "smokey and the bandit" whip antenna!!

airwolf,
I have done several 06 GTs with low-gloss black vinyl on the decklid, make a paper template, get a yard or so of vinyl from a sign company, and apply using a water/soap mixture and a squeegee, its fairly easyand can be removed later.

are you talking about the griggs suspension? the car is on four adjustable koni coilovers, and that stance in the picture is all the way down i believe. it would be very easy to raise it up an inch inch and a half and reduce pressure on the spring rates by 30% for daily driving.

this suspension is totally reengineered and can lower the car without losing any suspension travel. this is why it is my favorite suspension on the market today. its not cheap though, i will be saving for a while...

Holy Crap! $650 for a driveshaft! Last time I bought an AL driveshaft from Steeda they were about 1/3 that price! Guess I'm out of the loop.
