Bullitt Spotted!!!
they are the 18" Bullitt style wheels just like the optional ones that are standard on a GT/CS or Shelby painted a dark charcoal color with a polished lip. When I first spotted the car, I thought that it was black with black Shelby rims and didn't realize the true colors until we went under a street light.

Idk, Im about tired of it all. It just even further shows that Ford needs new direction in a lot of areas. They had a HUGE chance with this car, and screwed it to ****, from what we know now. Im not impressed in the least, All they did was paint it another color, and painted the rims, from what is shown. So they are charging you for not getting a spoiler, the window louvers that should be there, and didnt even put the pony up front. For $2k MSRP, and Im sure more like $5k at dealerships, I can make a much better one. Unless it's got a kickin engine when it actually comes out, and better stuff, then ford screwed themselves again.

But what I am getting at is when Ford put the CS/GT pkg together it is a great bargain. You could not build one yourself for anywhere close to that price! Unique front and rear bumpers painted to match, 18" polished wheels, different interior, side scoops, rolled exhaust...etc, etc...you know the drill...
So where is the $1895 coming into play for the Bullitt? Ford will put together a good buy for that price. It may not be what was wanted...but it will still be a great deal if its only $1895. I honestly can't believe more people don't buy the SE stangs if they are less than 7-8% over the price of the Premium GT....to be honest, maybe thats what Ford is thinking here.
black bullitts ftw!
I think everyone needs to take a chill on this one. We really have no idea what's going on here except for what our eyes can see. And all that is is the way the car looks. We really have no idea what's under the hood or under the suspension.
Lets keep the faith that theres something more to it than meets the eye. If there isn't, then the only thing I can imagine is that Ford is waiting to pull out the big guns until it needs them.

Leave it to Ford to screw up again..
So far it looks like all it will be is a green V6 with the GT engine.
It should have performance tires, brakes, real cosmetic changes, both in and out, and at 350 horsepower, this is 2007, where little 3.5L N/A V6 engines make more power.
It should be Old Moves, not Bold Moves..

have you guys forgetten what the original Bullitt was? you're all wanting add-ons that simply shouldn't be there in the first place (besides the quarter scoops)... I imagine the interior will get a few upgrades, but the exterior should be pretty basic if it's an homage to the original.
but with that said... and considering the possible price...
I too will wait for the Mach or Boss, since I really don't care to own a Bullitt even though they're pretty slick.

I think the $1895 is just going to be a starting point for pricing. You'll never get that car for such a reasonable upcharge. The '01's were approx.$3500 more than a regular GT and since seven years have passed, it's unlikely the price would go down, unless of course there's going to be the two versions (McQueen Edition-highly unlikely). If the Bullitt is to be a Shelby GT variant, then you've got a whole host of FRPP goodies that would go way over the $1895 price point. But the good thing is, it'll be lots cheaper than having SAI do the upfitting resulting in a higher price to buyers. Ford is quite capable of doing the car "in house" like they did the 2001.
I just have this sneeking suspicion that Ford is up to something (in a good way) with this Bullitt. Let's hope so!!

I heard they were actually going to paint the panel a charcoal-gray. That would look cool......................

It's a Bullitt, it shouldn't have the Pony in the grille in the first place. Personally, I just hope they black out the panel between the taillights this time around.
