Bullitt spare wheel

Hi I have a few of questions'
Why does the Bullitt come with tire inflation kit but no spare wheel?
Does it come with a jack?
How much and where from would I be able to obtain a matching spare wheel and tire and a space saver (dough nut) wheel and tire?

I think the reason Ford now equips some models with tire inflator kits is obviously to save money. They did this on the GT500 as well. I really don't know if it comes with a jack, but probably not, as that's where the tire inflator comes in. No need to lift what you can't change, right? It would be easy to find a space saver tire/spare wheel/jack, etc. Just get one from a wrecked 2005 or 2006 or directly from Ford.
So Gary, did you take the plunge and order a new 2008 Bullitt?

for the gt500 it was the fact it would require a 18" spacesaver. now if you get a full on blow out that is why ford offers the road hazard assistince. as far as the bullitt, if it is just painted calipers but still the exact same rotor, caliper i don't know why they didnt use a spare.

I will be tossing my skinny in the garage with others once i find a decent mini compressor. I think it's a great idea.

They'd need an 18" sace saver for the Bullitt too.
It still takes up a lot of space.

Yeah but it would still fit in the same area, right? Either which way it's wasted space.

I already have a tire inflator that plugs into the 12v plug. I've had it forever.

I wanna spare. Guess I'm going to have to buy one. It's tempting to take the jack and lug wrench out of my trade. Probably won't though, dealer most likely won't replace it and then whoever buys it gets a big surprise when they need it

the trouble is that the spare does not fit the gt500s brakes. the bullitt could use the normal gt spare.

the normal GT spare may effect the TC? Sometimes different sizes do.

Yeah, GT500 uses different sized fronts/rears...

You'd want to have the spare in the front, even if the tire in the rear goes.
but on the 500..they'd all be different regardless
Could damage the rear end.

The tire inflator kit gets rid of that problem

Well let me ask this - what is this "kit" anyway? Is it just an inflator, or would it be useful if you ran over something and had an outright flat (tire puncture)?

Supposedly its an inflator and a Ford version of "Fix-a-flat". According to a friend of mine in a local Ford parts department this stuff is supposed to be approved by Ford and supposedly does not cause some of the issues associated with "Fix-a-flat" type products.

i wonder what it would cost to buy the kit seperately?

may be a good idea for us guys that show the cars a lot and may not need a spare in there wasting space

So here's the deal on the inflation kit.

1. One kit is only good for use with one tire. Use it once and you have to buy a replacement sealing compound pack, which is available of course from your dealer. $$

2. You can call roadside assistance if it doesn't work and your tire is fried, but it clearly states if you don't have a spare you are getting towed (i.e. they will not have one for you).

3. Once you inject the sealing compound, the TPM sensor must be replaced. $$

Sounds to me like a lot of hassle and $$ over a flat tire. I think I'll just get a spare.
