Kind of reminds me of pictures of Steve McQueen himself in a simple black turtleneck and tweed jacket -- very simple, handsome and timeless. Must work as both McQueen and the Bullitt have become classic, timeless icons. In this era of ever more and bigger scoop, duct, spoiler, stripe, flash and blinding bling, it's a very refreshing, unique and distinctive stylistic approach I hope Ford follows.
Amen, bro. I want it simple, fast, and green. That's it.

Here is a little more detail on the parts code:

Part Prefix is 8R3Z....
Decoded: 8 = 2008 Model Year, R3 = Plaform - Mustang, Z = Releasing Organization (FCSD, Ford Customer Service Division)
These are the service parts for the production pieces.

i'll take another Black one!
nothing against the green, it's a beautiful color and pays homage to the movie, which i am all about. but i love my black Bullitt and can't wait to own another one!

Hmmm... interesting that the description of the grille says it is part of the "Bullitt Appearance Pkg". I guess that means that the Bullitt will be an option package on the GT?

Sounds likely - probably using some of the California Special pieces, as has been speculated.

But by god they better leave that dang hood scoop off!

"Faux gas cap decklid"...
Does that mean a fake cap on the horizontal/top portion of the trunk?

If it ain't functional, I don't want that there...

Probably the same "faux" gas cap as on the GT, but with Bullitt lettering on it.
