I don't think that increase has anything to do with demand, it's a typical commodity price increase.

Hopefully special orders will still be excempt

$200. It's probably due to increase in energy prices and Ford didn't want to keep it's margins any slimmer than they already are, so they are passing it on to the consumer...

Not a big increase, but an increase all the same.

If you ordered your car BEFORE the price increase, and it comes in with it on the window label, you really don't have to pay the increase. All the dealer has to do is file for price protection. You have 7 days to pick up the car in order to get this. Price increases are everywhere, so lets not kill the company for it. Milk, eggs, aluminum, everything goes up.

I was told exactly what you said. If my order was placed before the increase I would pay the agreed upon price when I placed my order.

My car came in today and I went up to the dealer to do the paperwork, fax buyers order to credit union, blah blah. The sticker did not have the increase, so I didn't pay it. He said I wouldn't have paid it anyway because I had a signed buyer's order when I put my deposit down.

Oh yeah, almost forgot: YOU HOO IT'S HERE!!!

Ford revises pricing on all models every fiscal quarter. January 2nd was the latest change. Bullitt Mustang base MSRP increased from $31,075 to $31,315, for example. Many other Ford models went up, some went down, some stayed the same. Happens like clockwork every 3 months.

Hey, I'm with you. I think Ford should honor any car ordered under a plan deal if they change the eligibility. I personally can't think of a good enough answer to your question.
