I went to a all Ford show Sunday, and it was allot of fun!
I met a women that owned a 08 green Bullitt there. She was VERY upset at me for owning a Black Bullitt! She wanted to know what I was thinking when a bought a Black Bullitt and when I told her that I love black Mustangs and that I wanted something special. That is when she let me have it between the eyes! She told me her Bullitt is a daily driver and there was nothing special about that car! I had to leave because I wasn't sure what she was capable of doing,seeing she was BIGGER then me. As I was leaving she told me to have a nice day
Now that was Scary

 

That's when you should have said "that's why I got a black one; so it is special". Then run like he!!.

BTW, If I ever had the chance to buy a Bullitt, it would be black.

I meet people like that at shows all the time! I had one PJ owner tell me his was more special than mine because it had a lower bumper number

I guess "special" is kinda besides the point. Most of us get a car that we think is cool and that we will enjoy. What someone else thinks about our choices is irrelevant. I salute the black bullitt!

 

Mine's black...Ford calls it a Bullitt...the trunk lid says it's a Bullitt...and humm...yup...my badge says it's a Bullitt too.

 

A Black Bullitt...I've only seen one here in Denver and its still on the lot. I'd take the black Bullitt any day for the same reason you mentioned.

I believe that a black Bullitt is definitely an awesome color and "head-turner"...However, many purists believe that the "official" color of the Bullitt is Highland Green (I don't recall seeing a black Bullitt in the movie...unless of course you saw it in Black and White --LOL). That's probably what she was thinking...but she couldn't express herself properly.

 

Yeah thats true but her beef should be wih Ford. But I also don't remember the one on the movie having air bags and a nav system either. So now Bullittheads can be divided into Green and Black? This woman was way off, out there, from the sound of it, and probably acts this way with everyone. She should have a sign that reads "Don't talk to me I'm a *****!"

As I recall, the black Bullitt is in honor of the black Charger. In 2001, there were blue Bullitts available that apparently were an homage to a blue Volkswagen Beetle that is also seen several times during the chase.

Maybe she thought after talking to me , that I would march back into the dealership and get my money back for my black mistake. Because she didn't like my lame excuse for Bullitt being the Black Special Mustang
That is what makes me wonder, what did she want to accomplish with talking to a stranger. the other thought was maybe she just hated men
