Anyone heard from the IMBOC gang?
Wow, IMBOC is based in Springfield, Ohio? I had no idea. That's only 20-25 miles down the road from where I live. What a small world.
We got off relatively easy considering there were hurricane force winds blowing through here Sunday, gusts over 70 mph was what the TV said and I believe it. We lost a 30' tall ash tree, and it took one of our buckeye trees with it. Also lost some trim off the outside of the shop. For awhile it looked like we might lose the shop, which was pretty scary since all five cars were parked inside. It was creaking and moaning pretty bad.
Here's hoping IMBOC gets up and running soon.

And then there is my sister.....she was at the bengals game during the storm and got pelted in the side of the face with a high speed peanut
ok, not THAT funny, it left a welt.....
Very true. Right now it has bare stud walls, 13' high with minimal bracing. It is 30+ years old though, so it has seen a few storms. I was planning to insulate the walls and put 1/2" OSB plywood over the studs/insulation in a few years, but I might move that timetable up a bit, like before this winter. The OSB should really tighten things up a lot.
Surprisingly we didn't lose power at all. We're on Ohio Edison, but the people who have AEP a mile or two away aren't so lucky. AEP sent a lot of their repairmen to Texas in anticipation of the hurricane hitting hard, and they are recalling all of them ASAP to try and restore power to the half a million people without it in central Ohio. My wife's 7 story office building has been on generator power all week. They've got three huge diesel generators permanently stationed in the parking lot in Dublin where she works.

You know of course...That this is the first time I have ever agreed with you. Let's not make this a habit.
