Saleen/Parnelli Jones S302 On the Ground!

A couple of the rare Parnelli Jones S302 Saleens have popped up on eBay with photos of the cars in the showroom!

They make good power too. 400HP at 6000rpm, with no super charger.

I was wondering when they would appear. It seemed as though the whole thing disappeared into thin air, no news/rumors, and havent heard anyone on the forums try and order one. Has anyone here ordered/recieved one?

The best looking as well, it's a very clean design. The issues of concern will be matching the paint and the fitting of parts which Saleen always seems to have a difficult time with.

There's another thread on here stating that Saleen doesn't plan to sale the PJ saleen parts.

I had read that they will be released but not until after the PJs production run is finished.

Our Tulsa store has already delivered the first one; ours should arrive within the next couple of weeks. Wish I had a place to keep one. I would find a way to pay for one...

One of my best friends, back home in New England, has his. Arrived in an enclosed Trailer last Saturday. Number 39. He has a lot of photo's including the build of it. The photo's are over on my Thunderbird site, under 'muscle cars'.

? Can you link another site here?? Don't want to violate any TOS.

Bottom line: Most people will likely view those prices as too much money for a Mustang.

Actually, George, look at the seats in that Parnelli Jones - I bet the Bullitt will sport a horizontal stitch design similar to that (maybe even use the same supplier as Saleen), except, of course, the Bullitt will be all in black.

I do like the wheels on the Parnelli Jones, though. IMHO, that is the perfect ride height, offset, wheel size and tire width for the new Stang.

That lower GT500 valence used on the Saleen would look good on the Bullitt, too!

I'd be real interested in those wheels. I was looking at mini-lites but at $400 each AND not but 17x7... I had to pass. That 7 spoke PJ wheel is the only thing I would consider to replace my 18" polished bullitts...

Those mini-lites are awesome... and the PJ wheels are a great modern interpretation

The dealers were asking Saleen's MSRP. $20K over the GT's MSRP for the S/C'd S281 is a hard sale, $30K over is even harder though the PJ Edition is just about perfect in every respect.
