PJ Saleen Pricing

Does anyone have a feel for the average sales price for these? I've been holding out for a GT500 at MSRP, but found a PJ that's been sitting on the dealer lot for over a month. The sticker price is a cool 60K without markups, I'm thinking I can go below MSRP on it but wanted to check the market....

Thanks

So far, all I have seen have been dealers tossing away their mark-ups, but not discounting them yet.
However some have been sitting on lots for a few months now....

IMO, MSRP may be the best you can get. Rarer than a GT500, for sure. Doesn't hurt to try though.

Frank, I'd go after the PJ car over the Shelby! My customer who I sold a GO GT to, he sold his 70 Boss, and got a PJ. Took me for a ride, and WOW!!! Its impressive!! Plus its WAY MORE rare. At Carlisle, on the showfield, there had to have been dozens of Shelby GT500's, but only 1 PJ (my friend's). For the money, and all the motor work, and suspension, and limited number built, I'd go for one of these over a GT500 at a markup. Plus, pull into a cruise night with one of these, with the numbers on the side, and watch the heads turn!!!!

Even though the price shows $58K, this is their third round on ebay, the first to was $65K, the second was $55K. The dealer is in Fort Lauderdale.

Hey USMC0341-
Have you noticed any problems with the chrome trim around the rear end? I looked at one in Daytona and saw the chrome had bubbled really bad around the back, and I'm pretty sure the thing was brand new. The chrome trim on the car was the only thing I noticed that was suspect though, I really like the PJ.

I think that auction was not legit. Seller had 2 replies and 75% positive. I don't think it was legit

I doubt the PJ has a $25K markup for the dealers, maybe $8K, $10K at most. To sell a car for $35K while the Saleen MSRP is $60K, the dealer would take a huge loss.

One of our customers has a PJ and some of his chrome on the rear popped off when he washed his car. Saleen will send you new chrome bits with better 3M tape on them. Looks like the early PJ pieces were held on with cheap double sided tape.

The one that I saw it looked like the chrome was ready to just flake off.
