Can We Please Have A Forum For The Future Gt350
I just posted a reply on another thread concerning the GT350 being OFF-TOPIC on the SHELBY-GT forum...And I do openly AGREE.... This IS the SHELBY-GT forum and it IS NOT FAIR to them - to change it into something it's not.... I've been waiting for someone to wake up and smell the coffee, I have been, a one man band/supporter of a future GT350 (thankfully others have joined in) and I've have finally been caught - red handed - for being "OFF-TOPIC"..... Guilty as charged - so what can we do about it?
I would like to ask Brad - officially - to please allow a new forum to be opened for people (like myself) interested in a future GT350.... I know I would go their, ha-ha...
One good thing would come out of it... I for one would leave the Shelby-GT forum to stories related to the Shelby-GT.... Making them very happy campers in their rightfully shining moment of Shelby-GT glory...
I think everyone here at "THE MUSTANG SOURCE FORUM" - can see the need and interest in a future GT350 being built by Shelby & Ford.... For a unannouced unoffical GT350 to generate (almost as much) interest as the current Shelby-GT offering on this site (ofcourse my personal belief) I think we all CAN see the need for it's own personal forum....
I know I have the passion - to support - and give my all to such a site... I promise to do my - fair share - to start interesting threads and postings and to put a uplifting positive spin on everything GT350 related .....
It maybe another year or two before the GT350 IS OFFERED - but every day brings us that much closer to Amy giving the GREEN LIGHT to a official announcement...It's just a matter of when......The interest IS THEIR as to the next Shelby....
Everyone of us "CAN" have a lasting effect on Shelby and Ford decision making on this matter the GT350 and other Mustang related matters... Ford is currently between a rock and a hard place - they NEED CARS that will attract public interest, to bring people to their dealerships, and if they can't afford a Shelby maybe they'll buy a Mustang GT and add some side stripes, or how about a California Special and dream the dream... The lure for Ford is cars like a GT350 it's news-worthy... Will they build it or won't they? What's hot and what not, - the GT350 will sizzle - more so than it's over-weight big brother the GT500... The GT500 is a straight line kind of car... The GT350 WILL BE the - SPEED RACER Mach 5 at home in the twisties....
You may say - yeah right Randy - little old me have a affect - dream on brother - but you'd be wrong... I use to feel the same way - but it is TRUth.... Case in point ( here I go again - helium time to Randy's head)...I was the ONLY person in the United States to write to Bill Ford about saving a portion (the final assembly area) of the Dearborn (Mustang) assembly plant which was to be torn down to make room F-150 parking next door - well guess what - my claim to fame, I had a affect on good old - Bill Ford, I WAS contacted by the Mustang Market Manager assistant and was told that MY LETTER - had a positive effect, meetings would be held on the matter - and a section of the plant WOULD BE SAVED because of my letter...
OK - what's my point? Plain and simple - I want this car built, I want a GT350... -I feel it's historically incorrect to offer a GT500 without offering it's stable mate a GT350... The void was blindingly blunt to me since - day one- of the GT500 annoucement... So I'm at the New York Auto show and I ask the BURNING QUESTION... What about the GT350??? Their response - What's that? Never heard of it... Ford officals politely brushed me off... So much for Shelby history...I smile to myself and think in a few short years they'll be hawking the new GT350 at the same auto show - BECAUSE - of people like me - cause and effect.... Translation - sorry I'm the bull-dog type not to be brushed off... WE ALL - CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE... BE that bull-dog type don't be brushed off by anyone - if you want something in life - go for it, make a difference .....Life in general is a struggle - I personally like a good noble cause a up-hill battle for things I want out of life, this IS such a worthy cause to fight for... To feel like you made a difference IS what matters in life - to have a cause and effect - to make your mark.... The GT350 IS such a worthly cause....
Yes I do have the passion - family - wife - kids - friends - job - and passion - Ford Mustangs.... Since day one in April 1964 at the New York World's Fair the day they rolled out the Mustang to the general public.... My passion goes back to the begining - I was only nine but that event had a affect on me that would last a life time...
Please Brad grant my ( and I'm sure others) request for a GT350 forum... - This car a future GT350 WILL BE BUILT this NOT a wasted forum... Everyone CAN SEE THE WRITING ON THE WALL - a NEW GT350 IS COMING down that road to a dealership near you - lets be part of it's future by making Shelby/ Ford wake up - and smell the coffee... The public out cry for this car WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN.... God - do I love writing about things I love, just a bit long winded as the wife would say...
I hope their are others who feel as strongly as I do about the future GT350 ... Every fiber in my body and soul tells me this will be a GREAT car - worth waiting for... Adding to that the excitement is a new make-over and a new 5.0 motor with 400 horsepower... Timing is everything and it could be just perfect for this car.... I maybe out in left field on this whole matter, a sitting duck waiting for the verbal mud-***** about to be hurled my way - but I don't think so.... Everyone has their own ideas of what the GT350 SHOULD BE - and so be it, that's what makes it so much fun - the guessing and dreaming...
So step right up folks - 5 ball for a dollar - and knock Randy off his GT350 swing into that water tank OR support a worthy cause and make your voice count, make the new GT350 a reality and join me in asking nicely - coming from the heart - that Brad allow a GT350 forum to happen... This is his site and his decision... I respectfully await your decision... Randy Anderson

Special Edition News & Rumors section? You know... until they make it?
I had a feeling you'd say that - it was worth a try any way... ( Short posting - not long winded -ha ha)... Fair enough then - until announcement day.... I hope the Shelby-GT folks will be ok with GT350 postings for a ( I hope) a short while... Randy
no offense Randy....but My Thoughts Exactly when I saw your post..I'm all for the GT350...probably as much as you are....I just see no point in going on and on about it untill there is at least some little bit of rumor to go on...
WOW - OK folks - New rule for me - NO MORE COFFEE - with dinner for me... OH MY GOD - I WROTE WAR IN PEACE - I AM SO SORRY - ONE AND ALL.... That has to be a record (even for me)- for length on this site.... That wasn't passion for the topic talking just - keyed up - on coffee... New personal rule - max 200 words or less.... WOW did I ever ramble - sorry again...
Truthfully - I sometimes work ALOT (most of the time) and do't get home till late - writing on this site helps me key-down and go to sleep.... I only require about 5 hours sleep a night...... Randy
