While it doesn't look like anything too special for a prototype...
It makes me think.
It has the 18" Maurader wheels (which Kev said were the 18" option on the V6)
It also has dual exhaust with the V6 bumper...
And we don't know what's under the hood.
Either its a red herring V6 or some type of prototype...

Werid! Its got the whole v6 body kit, but it does have dual exhuast? Makes me think if its just a new v6 package for 08-09 or if its a wolf in sheeps clothing? Looks fairly decent thought!

Could be a prototype for a possible V6 option package.
Ford seems to be desparate to sell more V6 Mustangs.
A few more HP from dual exhaust and some unique styling cues could help the V6's fortunes.
Or it could be Ford is worried about GT sales falling in due to high gas prices. Such a V6 model would be aimed at getting some customers who are now passing on the GT to buy a V6.
Either way, fact is that YTD Mustang sales in 2007 are down 19% from 2006 so I'm sure that car is something they're thinking of to boost sales.

Anyone notice the rocker panels are not painted, which also screams V6. I hope they don't give the V6 a dual exaust. Thats what makes the GT and higher levels more special and easier to differentiate.

A little while back TopNotch posted a mock up diagram of the 2010 with how the car looked different...and one thing was the black rocker.
Since it's on the V6 AND GT500... you're right... don't use that as an indicator.
Gives the GT500 a sleeker look with the black around the lower rocker and bumpers.

And look the hadling pack gets the Bullitt Strut tower brace..so much for exclusivity
Why is it they can create a new rear bumper for a V-6 and not a new front one for the Bullitt?
Oh and I like this rear bumper better than the stock GT one

Slap on the plate and it's the bullitt brace
that's like saying the nose on the bullitt isn't a GT nose because it's DHG
where i come from we call that splitting hairs

The tower brace was never meant to be Bullitt exclusive... it's a Ford Racing part. But, as whammer said, it's not a Bullitt brace unless it has been ingraved with the Car's vin, and bullitt serial number. It was just a convenient place for the Bullitt makers to put that information.
