Took The Shelby Tour II w/pictures
I was in Las Vegas Sunday through Wednesday on business and Monday morning went to Shelby Automotive and took the tour. Nice fellow conducted the tour and they have some very special cars on display. I was very disappointed that I didn't get to hear the Shelby GT fired up but it looks like a nice ride. I have posted some pictures for your viewing pleasure. BTW no pictures of their supersecret assembly areas.
I also signed the wall~
On the way back from Shelby I spotted a Lamborghini dealership so I took afew pictures of some of their inventory. The Saleen S7 was $608K

It was pretty funny when we were on the tour. The first picture of me standing by the Cobra in front of the building belonged to a guy who had driven it there to go on the tour. He mentioned his Cobra that was parked outside a couple of times and I could see by the expression of the gentleman's face that was conducting the tour and worked for Shelby that the guy was starting to irrate him. The next time that the guy started to mention his Cobra the tour guide said, "we don't build kit cars here!" I don't recall him mentioning his Cobra again.
They sell the Cobra rolling chassis for $60K. You can buy the engine from Shelby that is made in California but they won't put it together for you.

Also, what is the grey Stang in the first set of pics? Don't recogonize it.
Cam
The gray car is the Shelby CS6 with a 350 HP V6 and a vortec supercharger. I guess Ford decided that they didn't want Shelby to sell the car but all they parts are available from shopshelby.com Yes I signed the wall~
This Shelby paid commercial is now concluded.

Graypny, what's your opinion of the CS6?
I was very interested in it until Shelby Auto's farmed out the assembly
to "select" builders. (Also a heard rumor that Ford made them do it.)
I may of had this wrong to begin with, maybe they weren't going to build it there from the start.
With adding a teenage driver (oldest son is 14) to our family in a few years, a specialty V6
model looked like a interesting way to keep the insurance rates in-line a bit.
Now I'm thinking it's more of just another kit-car set, and not really a "Shelby."
Nice pictures.

To be honest I didn't look at it that closely. I personally don't like the grille and since it wasn't something that they were actually offering to the public I didn't give it more than just a glance. 350 HP from a v6 is kind of exciting though.
