Just purchased a 2008 Shelby GT and was wondering if they were tuned when they due upgrades. I have talked to a few people and they say that using a Tuner can improve performance drasticly. Does anyone have a suggestion on what brand to get. I've been researching and getting a lot of mixed reviews.

 

I believe they got the FRPP Power Pack, which included the CAI, X-pipe and sport mufflers, and the FRPP canned tune, which was pretty conservative, but tuned for the CAI and exhaust. You probably have another 10-15hp on the table without any other mods to the car....

 

Yes ! They are tuned before leaving the Shelby facility in Las Vegas..

All Shelby 2007-08 GT models are equipped with the old style Ford Racing/Steeda 90mm cold air intake along with FRPP Pro Cal Tool..

The Steeda/FRPP cold air intake is definitely one of the top recommended CAI for the Mustang, but you would be much better off getting an SCT tuner from American Muscle/Bama Performance which also include 3 custom tunes with your choice of 87,89,91 and 93 octane fuels in street, performance and race tunes which you can make parameter adjustments such as fuel/spark, gear ratio changes and so on..

AM/Bama Performance also includes free tune updates for life as well, as you simply tell them what mods you plan on doing and they e-mail you new custom tunes specific to your car and upgrade mods free of charge..

 

If you option for the S/C upgrade it comes with a Predator tuner
