Shelby GT's still have GT fog lights

I was on eBay this morning and noticed this picture. It looks like the Shelby GT's have their grill put over the factory grill and the fog lights are still there.

The factory grill is underneath the Shelby grill however I believe the foglights have been removed. What you're seeing are the empty foglight buckets.

I've seen that picture before too, and it may be a pre-production one.

The stock grille is removed at the plant in Las Vegas and the Shelby grille is attached to it and reinstalled after the removal of the fog lights and the pony.

It is on the dealer floor and is Shelby CSM Number 07SGT0206. This is the eBay listing:

All cars look awful if you shoot a picture with a flash directly at the grille. you need the existing frame of the stock grille where it feathers into the facia. Its like when you have a black car with black wheels, no matter how much you clean it the wheel wells look horrible under another car's headlights at night. Its just a lousy photo choice.

+1, S197 grilles look like crap if you take a head on shot with a flash. All you see is the filled in honeycomb segments contrasting with the hollow ones. Cars are meant to be seen with lighting from above, I.E. sun

So does this grille leave the fogs in place? Or is it just the shell we are seeing and not the actualy fog lights?

Just the outlines in the grille, the fog lights and raised plastic frames are removed. 99% of the time you would never see the grille behind it unless it was under extreme angle lighting(just before sunset).

All S197 mustangs need the area narrow in the middle of the grill for (cooling) airflow that does not negatively affect aerodynamics. Look at the V6 and GT500. No fogs and still they have small section in the middle only open.

That said, i think this may be a pre-prod model with that setup in place, such that performance wouldn't be affeceted.

Not the first time that I've been told "You know what your problem is? You actually expect to get what you pay for."

Snapped these pics at the Auto Show. Look closely and you can see what was cut:

You have to remove the fogs and file down the bezels, and you have to remove the pony section of the grille. PSH has the same grille.

Yep that's the way they all are. They were in the middle of working on the Shelby GT when I was there last month and the production grilles they had laying about and the cars in process of being built were all exactly like that.

Photos of the grille. Shelby has a grille frame coming soon that will alleviate this issue.
