Shelby GT ordered...something different in the works

Alright I have been asked to start a post about my car.

I ordered a Shelby GT on 7 Dec 06 and like many others I am anxiously awaiting the car. Brad and Scothew have been very kind and have something in the works. I won't say anymore as I don't want to mess anything up.

Scothew may be able to fill in more though.

I was asked to post about me ordering the car. That is what I did and I leave it to the two gentlemen that are working this from here. I am not sure what all I can divulge of what they are working on.

Sorry.

Well whatever it is they have planned, it looks like they're starting off with a pretty sweet car.

Congrats!

Milstang, a couple questions. One, I dont see the Shaker system on your VOC. Did you not get the Shaker system?
Also, I am being told that there is some sort of Shelby fee on top of what I see on your VOC of like 4 to 5 grand. Is this BS or true? I see the upfitter fee on your VOC but nothing else. So is the total on the VOC your finished price or am I getting the ADM?

Webba,
Amy has said the price is 35.9k. Today somebody said their dealer found out that the Shelby addition is $7300 + $1000 gas guzzler tax. This car just keeps getting more expensive. My dealer first thought it was going to be 30200 but that was with out the Shelby upgrade. If the 8300 is right that makes the price $38500. Its getting pretty close to the GT500 with stock brake upgrade, 180 extra hp, 6 speed transmission. Ross

Shouldn't only the GT500 have a gas guzzler tax?
Even if the Shelby GT had a GGT it would be less than that.

If the EPA says so, then the GGT is in effect. Its better to put in the gears after the purchase.

I ordered an Automatic. It is my understanding it will have 3.31 gears. I will also be paying GGT.

I've pretty much written off getting a Shelby GT and if this GGT is true then it's the staw that broke the camel's back.

When you get the NAV system it replaces the Shaker systems. There is still the CAI, suspension etc that will be tacked on at SA in Las Vegas. That part of the price is not included on the VOC. (that information was not released at that time)

So that is not my total price at this time. In addition, I will be getting many of the Shelby add ons as well. So that is nowhere close to my final price.
