A Carfax should clear up the mystery.

You can go to www.ShelbyAutos.com to check the VIN. This particular car should be on its way to Shelby Autos in Vegas!

The description is wrong. It's a Shelby GT, not a GT-H.

I just sent the seller a question. I'll see if he responds to it. I hate these types of dealers.

Is it possible that if the dealer did not enter the Shelby drop ship code, the Upfitted vehicle would get shipped directly from Flatrock to the dealership?

If you use the dealer inventory checker on the Ford website, there are several dealerships in Southern California that show inventory of Mustangs with the Upfitters package installed (and no additional Shelby GT pkg). I assumed this meant the vehicles were at or on the way to Las Vegas. Maybe not???

I have always questioned the accuracy of that tool. Does anyone know where the data is pulled from?

Mark

This is a special ordered Mustang that was built in the plant to be a Retail Shelby Hertz Mustang. This car has everything from the factory needed for this Mustang, just that it has not been sent to Shelby to get the appearance package. As a result of this, this makes this a very rare vehicle. We are not trying to misrepresent this item...

That reply is EXACTLY what he sent to me, when I asked him a question about the car. He is trying to pawn this off as a REAL Shelby GT, without the Shelby Auto upgrades, and most importantly, the under-hood fender badge. This is a new low in trying to take advantage of a customer

Hello, I have bid on the car. What is the buy it now price? Is the engine modified from FORD before it would have been brought to Shelby for all the modifications? Why did this car not make it to the Shelby plant. Thank you

Seller answer

Yeah, someones gonna pay more than Shelby GT MSRP and not even get the FRPP & Shelby parts installed (currently valued at ~$8K). YGBSM!

Oh man! I about busted my gut when I read that. $42K for a car that cost $30K MSRP. All this is is a GT with the GT upfitter package ($2140 option that includes GT/CS hood/side scoops, front and rear fascias, those 18" wheels, 3:55 gears, front seat side airbags, spoiler delete) What a joke!

Unless I'm missing something, Chris Elder at (317) 339-1743 chrise@billestes.com is false advertizing because he says:

It has a slightly beefed up engine pushing out 319 Horsepower and includes the following
The picture of the engine doesn't show the FRPP CAI so was this added later? It's not listed on the ad.
We are not trying to misrepresent this item
Maybe he should try again

I asked another one

Question

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=4><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="84%">Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. Are there any modifications to the engine above the stock GT, if so what are they? Thank you

Answer

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Our info says that the engine has 319 HP, this is 19 HP over the 300 GT HP.....

Hey Jeff (05FordGT), are dealers able to order the upfitters' package and sell it to the general public without it going to Las Vegas?

Heck I would order a white one just to get the GT/CS front fascia and spoiler delete.
