I was wondering...

Is there a supercharged Shelby GT available? I thought I read somewhere that you can get this model supercharged; can anyone shed some light on this? What about a warranty. I swear I heard this before.

Team Shelby has lots of info on the SGTs. At this point, no more are being made, having finished early this year and no 09 model planned. There were issues with putting superchargers on 08 models, but that is being worked out now. You can take an existing SGT to Shelby in Vegas or to one of their Mod Shops for a genuine Shelby installation, or you can go to most Ford dealers for something similar for a bit less money. Then again, it won't be all genuine Shelby, but that doesn't matter to everyone. The least likely scenario is that you find a leftover brand new 07 SGT at a dealership that just happened to have gone to Shelby's mod shop and have the SC installed. I only mention this because I actually know of just such a car. It is a white 07 with SC and an auto, which the dealer claims is only one of five ever made. They've come down $20k since January 08 (currently low-mid 40's), and would probably just love to get rid of it. Check out Barbee's Freeway Ford on Evans in Denver, Colorado, and ask for Jeremy. He gave me a good deal on my 08 SGT coupe. Good luck.

 

There are several GT/SC owners who are now selling their cars (financial hard times) which means they will probably take a big loss but someone like you get get a GT/SC at the price of a regular Shelby GT. Team Shelby also has a Mustangs "for sale" section of the forum.
