I am thinking so as well. It had been alluded to a while back that something was in the works with a blue stripe but no more info was given or has been since. MY personal feelings with the Shelby GT was that they needed to work oout the internal bugs of getting the shop up and running and nailing down processes and such. If they had announce they were doing a GT350 fro the get go can you imagine the amounts they could have sold? NO offense to them but I think they would have stumbled and may not have recovered. Where now the roll out a smaller quantity and have time to get things worked out. Now that that has been mostly done they then come oout with the KR and then the Super Snake. They are installing the supercharger on the GT now and ahev 3 or 4 out the door. It will be interesting to see if they do come out with one and it has a s/c if they warranty it or not. The one they are installing now does not have a warranty. I would want one personally. They have it for the GT500 so lets hope it also has one. I would expect an announcement this summer sometime

Which superchargers do they install now on the SGT?

I was going to add the blue stripes on my white GT to stand out from the SGT out there, so I hope they stick with the silver stripes, hehe.

The SGT offers the Paxton SC but without a factory warranty. As for the gt350 I tink you were right webba that they wanted to make sure they could handle the output first. I'm just wondering how they are going to distinguish the SGT and the gt350. My thoughts were the color options along with making many of the items that are options on the SGT standard such as the SC and the upgraded brakes. If they did this and made it go under warranty I would be beyond excited and would probably be very sad seeing how I have a 2007 that isn't even 6 months old and would want to trade (I see what little money I have dissappearing already). I would also hope that they would do a different hood... I love the scoop and it's perfect for the car and for the gt350 look but I would definately prefer it to be molded in. Would also be nice to have quarter windows similar to the supersnake those look pretty awesome. Anyway just thinking out loud.

Chris

ps - Amy I know you won't say anything obviously but do you have any thoughts on the matter? (Assuming your even trolling the forums)

I believe it's a paxton S/C. You guys might be on to something with the GT 350 Super Snake analogy.

I would think that they would offer 350 - 400 hp on the GT 350. Maybe it will basically be a SGT with a supercharger That would be the easiest way to pull it off.

Very interesting, a low output Paxton would rock, if I had the cash that's what I would go with personally. If it's running at low boost they might be able to have it covered under warranty as well, who knows.

And if they could somehow make a nice looking hood with a functional ram air feeding into that Paxton, that would be really nice. I'm not a big fan of fake scoops.

Of course if they put a Paxton in it, it would really be a Shelby GT S.

A 1966 GT-350 with a Paxton was called the "GT 350S"

While all that sounds nice, the drawback I see to this is - what happens when you mod/add on to an already expensive Shelby GT to make a GT 350 (S) or whatever it's called should they go this route? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I think a supercharged shelby GT350 would be in the same $ ballpark as a GT500 wouldn't it? What would be the point? Aren't Shelby GT's 35k already? Sheesh.

The main advantage I could see in doing a package like that (GT 350) is it would make it possible to do a S/C car with an automatic transmission, which I'm a big fan of.

There will be some packages for the SGT but I'm not sure they'll be anything like GT350. I could be wrong, but the talk about "blue stripes" etc., while it would work on a white SGT, won't on a black one, and frankly it would be a lot of work to re-stripe the car. Since there is a SGT for 08' I don't expect to see a GT350 UNLESS they can fly through the 2100 SGTs and have something ready to announce in Jan with a limited run until the end of the 08 model year. I suspect though it's an 09' play if ever. But I don't know squat and just guessing based upon SAI capacity and other projects Ford has announced for 08'

yeah I agree now I think after the run of the 08's it's going to be 09 before we get to see a gt350 and honestly you guys might be right and it might end up being as pricey as a gt500 I just had always hoped for a 35k shelby gt350.
