Yes it's true.

Currently you can now get X-plan on the 08 SGT, 1K rebate, and 3.9% (36 mos) financing.

If you are in the military there is also $1K discount, but it can't be used inconjunction with the X-Plan, but it can be used with the $1k rebate for $2K off the price of a SGT.

I have to be a moron and ask what an X-plan is. I've bought 4 new Mustangs in the last five years and I've never been offered an X-plan.

Friends and family discount for ford employees. You can get one a bunch of differnt ways: owning ford stock, being a distributer of ford products, asking on the ford web site, knowing a ford employee....etc

Oh, well, then it's not even worth mentioning it to the general public.

I saved $2200 on my 05 Mustang GT and $1800 on my Daughters Fusion. Mine was through my workplace and she got hers from her uncle a retired Ford employee. Dealers still have incentives to sell on all these plans so yes it's worth mentioning on here. Plus you get all rebates too! Its a great deal and everyone should do a little research into how they can aquire one for themselves.

Thanks for that information AFBLUE. This might be what I have been waiting for. Will my dealer know the 08' Shelby GT is included? Is there a program number that I can give them similar to what I have seen in the past about other incentives.

I'm the "general public' and I got an X-plan pin. Anyone can get one. I got mine through joining Experimental Aircraft Association-EAA (after 1 year membership you are eligible), also many just ask for a X-plan pin on blueoval.com and get them that way, or you can just do the stock thing.

Not sure. I asked my dealer about it and he was able to bring it up automatically. Just remember that a dealer doesn't have to accept X-plan on an SGT. They can decline to sell it at X-plan.

I didn't use X-plan on mine because it was a better deal for both me and the dealer if we used the current $1K rebate and $1K military discount, combined with his above invoice/below MSRP offer. But being X-plan eligible may have helped me get to that deal.

Dearlers don't have to accept any of the plans (A,X,or Z). It's their option.

When I looked on Fords website, it only showed incentives for cars on the lot. I will call a few dealers soon, and see if they will go for it. If I can get the $1,000.00 cash back ,that will make up for that dumb gas guzler tax. That tax is what has stopped me from getting one already. Its just the principal of it.
I wonder if any dealer can order one? I want an automatic, so maybe I will have a little more bargining power as most want manuals. The 07' year,I think a dealers second car had to be an automatic, before he could order a third.

2008 Shelby GT not x-plan friendly

I have x-plan though Raytheon (my employer) and tracked down the following info from http://www.fordpartner.com:

Bottom Line - No 2008 Shelby qualifies.

Additionally, it's up to the individual dealers to decide whether or not to honor x-plan in any regard.

Regards,
Kevin

AFBLUE, where did you hear that the 08' Shelby GT qualifies for the Xplan price. How can I prove to the dealer it does?

I own ford stock, you simply write investor relations and give them your account information and request a pin. Employees get A plan a really good deal, and if you own stock you get X plan, which is a good deal too,

I don't know what to tell you guys. I just talked to my dealer, Michael Morris at Wayne Morris Ford (Perry, GA) today and he said he looked it up and it still shows X-plan available on the 2008s. Think it came available 2 Nov.

Here's the thread on stangsunleashed where another dealer (shelbydude) confirmed for me that this was true.
http://www.stangsunleashed.com/forum...8&#entry244178
Can someone confirm this? I was just speaking to Michael Morris about this very subject today.

Yes!

Ford vincent shows X-Plan for the 08 SGT and $1,000 rebate + 3.9% @ 36 months, 4.9% @ 48 months, 5.9% @ 60 months or 7.9% @ 72 months.

I don't know if this is a glitch on Ford's part or not, but as of right now these programs are available and whatever Ford has in their vincent is what rules. Whether or not they change this and take it away I don't know. But it is available at the moment.
Like was said before, dealers don't have to honor the X-plan, they can decline to sell at that price.

My dealer said the 08' Shelby GT does not qualify for x-plan. Looks like I keep asking. Thanks
