Well my dad rented one
in pheonix, he was out there with navy reserves business. He had a rental that was expensed. (The navy only pays up to a certain amount, so the difference was covered by my dad... dont worry he isnt indulging in the tax payers money.) it was $100 a day. he said the 50 or so he chipped in was well worth it for the nice ride. here are some pics.

yes, my dad was hoping to geo out and give a quick stop light pull with the gto. Thats an 04 so its only the 350 horse engine, should be a good one. He said the trans on the gt-h was just to slushy to really get on it. actually said he had a hard time passing people on the highway

Hertz might be ahead to plop a new motor/tranny in each one before selling- not that theyve been 'hurt', but just to eliminate the rental car stigma of 'had the crap ran out of it by hundreds of different people'.
