It is a shame what dealerships get more money.

I don't see how that dealership can ask $85k. They are barely reaching $60k on ebay, and they aren't selling. Further, Manheim is seeing a back-up of unsold GT-H due to the high reserve placed on them. These cars are seeing a rapid market adjustment, due in part to the fact that you can order a new S-GT for 1/2 the money, and it won't be beaten up like these. More dealer lunacy

Geez, the GT500s are going for $80k! If we're talking about the black and gold things, I think it's incredible that people would spend so much money to have a car that looks like a rental!

Nope. In fact, there's a "buy it now" at $59,995 with no takers..bubble is bursting - on crazy mark-ups for this car- for sure...they will always command a premium, just not "crazy" money...

There might be a couple, but most are selling for around $10k over right now. You would not have a problem getting one for that today.

I will say that the other day at Brashers Salt Lake City Auction (Ford Dealer Private sale), that Hertz was selling 10 of these cars. They were passing on any bid below 60k, unless the car was over 12k in miles and they were going for 57k+. So really you can blame Hertz for setting the Bar way to high.

I'll agree by Hertz what they were doing.

I would never pay that much for a used (by TONS of people) S197. If you want a Shelby buy the GT new.

Guess some folks got more money than sense, but these folks buying these are aslo hoping for a big return on their money and not wanting the cars for driving......
