FYI, when I rented mine last October, Hertz would not rent to local drivers...I needed to show them my airline ticket. I don't know if that's changed or if that's the case everywhere. You should make a call or check their web site.

Well if you want to come to southern california i have one sitting at my location . They are normally only @ major airports and can be reserved specifically on www.hertz.com. To save yourself a 20 percent use a "cdp" 211812. And if for some reason they ask at the counter just say you work @ a body shop that refers to Hertz. The gt-h got me so interested in the Mustang gt that i went and bought a used 2005 GT 5spd with 15K miles on it this afternoon. 1 day with the gt-h and i bought a gt lol. I've owned a 01 Ram 4x4 1500, 99 durango, 2004 srt-4 and this gt is my frist non dodge vehicle.

Just came back from a 4 day weekend with the family and the Hertz in Fort Lauderdale International Airport had about 4 available but for $150 a day (ouch ) so I stayed with the stratus for $100 for all 4 days, still but more money in my pocket. They were sweet though!
So just call up and ask any Hertz rental place, if they don't have one they can direct you to a Hertz that does.
