Hertz GT-H at airport
I just called Hertz again about renting one here in LV. I've got a Hertz #1 Gold membership, and through IBM as a personal rental, with all taxes, fees, etc. I can get one for just over $206 a day. That's limited to 75 miles a day, though. If I had AAA, she said I could get it for a little more, but with unlimited mileage. I think it was like $230 a day, with all fees added in. No difference between weekday and weekend. I might have to schedule a 'sick day' soon and go for it, just because.
I'm thinking of the next Mustang Club meeting, since I don't currently own one.

Jayguy you work for IBM out there,I am a retired IBMer? that 175.00 was before they added all the extra's so don't know what the total would be. There was an article in Sunday's paper stating the last time Hertz had these cars(years ago) they would come back in with different engines, exhausts, transmissions in them.I would guess Hertz will be watching them pretty close.I live about a block from their big storage lot and its also where they keep the wrecked ones, quite a few V6 Mustangs in that bunch.

MrWick, Yeah, IBM bought a software company in Las Vegas last January. I was hired on in July as part of their post-aquisition expansion. So far so good, just overworked is all.
I just got a quote from Hertz in Orlando, they are renting them for $149 a day... that sucks because I have a job going on down there and my boss said "NO WAY"! Oh well, I will try to get one, sometimes they will upgrade the gold members to those type of cars, so who knows!
how did they get so many? Werent they only building 200 units? That is 5% of the entire existance of GT-H's in one parking lot!
I guess they figure they'll be more in demand (and more people will pay for them) at the hot tourist spots, like West Palm Beach and Las Vegas. People go to those places to play, and heck, why not rent a cool car for a couple days while you're there.
Oh, and I found out more about the "Must have a return ticket" thing. The agent read some new information about that to me on the phone. If you are local to one of the places with the GT-H, you can rent a car, but have to bring in something that shows you have an address there, preferably a utility bill, from within the last 60 days. It must show the same address as is on your drivers license. Not a problem for me. I'm still thinking about doing it for the next mustang club meeting.
Just the one day though.
