Question Will there be a GT CS registry??

I know it was kind of early to wonder, but has there been any thoughts on that?

GT/CS Registrar....

I just joined here to tell you all that I will be extending the 1968 Mustang GT/CS, to include the 2007 and 2008 GT/CS.

We're setting up a survey form right now, but if you're interested in writing to get on my list, contact me at:

Paul M. Newitt
GT/CS Registry
P.O. Box 2245
Davis, CA 95617

I'm going to include other Calif. Limited editions, like the SCS, and CE, as well as the San Diego Edition.--all 2005 versions.

Thanks!

Paul.

Someone sent up the BatSignal to me over at www.californiaspecial.com, so I raced (pun) over here to see what's happening.

I'm amazed and honored to be appreciated over here. I'm working on a revised book (GT/California Special Recognition Guide and Owner's Manual), which has sold (the 1989 edition) on Ebay for as much as $285 recently.

This new book will be 200 pages, and hardbound. I will include about 12 pages on the development of the '07 GT/CS, with an interview with the project manager at Ford. I will also outline the mods used on the Hertz and Shelby GT, which are close cousins to the '07 GT/CS. It should be out in the late fall, and sell for about $99.

I need a bit longer to see how I'll structure the new car registry, but I promise to let you all know. There is some sort of discussion on getting the new and old owners closer, via links between the discussion boards. There is a learning curve with the specs on these new cars.

We're also planning a GT/CS 40th anniversary drive "somewhere" in the country in '08...or to a SAAC convention; and more immediate plans to show up to Knott's next April "en masse" with about 50 cars or more.

By the way--there are some awesome looking '07 CS cars here!!! Outstanding!

More to follow...

p.s. I didn't know that KC was moderator!? Small World, huh?

Paul - count me in on the Knott's GT/CS event - I'd be honored if you would let me bring my '07 GT/CS with your classic CS's....are you talking about the FFF weekend? I went with my Lincoln LS club a few years ago and it was a blast!! Lot's of vintage (and new) Fords there
Please post the dates and meet details as it gets closer.

You may have to use the link to get to Paul, I don't think he spends much time here, but it's great to keep everyone here informed about whats going on around the country.
