Why wouldn't you just ask him what mufflers he is installing for that price? Kinda hard for us to guess since there are so many different mufflers available for the mustang. I would assume they will be Ford Racing but I don't want to assume. I still think if you ask him that is the best way, and smartest, to know what you are getting.

I highly recommend getting the Corsa axle backs a bit more money, but you pay for what you get.

FRPP 5GT's all the way..the look great, sound better...and would usually cost around $500.00

But honestly, you could probably negotiate on that price a lot!

I had the dealer throw me a new set in the trunk ( I installed them myself) when I bought the car as an "incentive"...

Watch that drone with those FRPP M5230-5GTs. Yes, they sound great - but drone.

My $0.02, go with the FRPP M5230-GTAs. Same axle-backs used on the Shelby GT and GT-H. Sound very good and zero drone! Oh yeah - around 1/2 the price too.

www.ninosport.com (to order).

And no, I don't work for nino LOL

I agree, watch the drone. That's why I went with Corsa...and no, I don't work for Corsa....but I will definitely recomend their product. I'm 100% satisfied with their Axle backs.

Fr Stingers W/ Ford X Pipe

I just put on the FR/Borla stingers ( has Ford Racing embossed on the tips) with the Ford X pipe, sound is not obnoxious, they sound fantastic ! Drone is minimal under 1800 rpm. I purchased them from John Bleakley Ford in Georgia, ask for Chico in the parts dept. They have the lowest prices in the country.

You won't get any measurable hp out of mufflers, sorry to break the bad news man. Where did you hear 13hp and 10tq? Maybe that is true for some Corsas on a Civic...but not a 2005+ Mustang GT. Not possible.

First problem here is the Corsas are not catbacks. They are axlebacks. The pipes from the cats to the mufflers are not changed, so they really are not "catbacks".

Where did you hear that the Corsa Axlebacks give you 13hp? Just wondering who is spreading the lies and mis-information to you.

The only way you are going to get 13hp out of changing exhaust is with an off road x or h pipe, getting rid of the cats. Or possibly headers will give you some decent hp. No set of axleback mufflers will give you any more than 1-2hp, trust me. Many have been dyno tested and nobody has seen any measurable gains. The stock exhaust system on the 05+ GT's is very good and free flowing as is.

Many manufacturers claim great hp gains by installing their products, but the true test is backing it up by impartial and real world dyno results. Corsa claims to have dyno tested the system and it made 13hp and 9ft/lbs over stock. Important to remember that CORSA is the one that tested their own system, so nobody knows for sure what was changed with the car, or if all conditions were the same.

Case in point, I was at the racetrack this last fall and was running 13.90's @ 101mph all night long. After a 30 minute shut down/cool off session, I was the first one up. My temp. gauge was still not even up to the normal position yet, and I had the hood open for 30 minutes, so there was no heat soak in the intake. Nice cool air, cool engine. I ran a 13.59, and I picked up 3mph. HP wise I probably picked up 25hp on that run, and nothing changed except engine, intake, and outside ambient air temperatures.

I'm not trying to argue with you or anything, just trying to help you see that mufflers alone will not net you any measurable hp gains...no matter what the manufacturer claims. There are even professional racers still using the stock mufflers. If they were truely a restrictive design, the pros would not be using them.
