Very lucky...but maybe not so lucky

Well at dealership other day I was getting oil changed on my Freestyle when I engage in convo with an older gentleman. Tells me of is 68....candy read CS, I tell him of my 08 CS. I give him details...we enjoy a coffee, he leaves. He actually went to ask what the going rate was for my car through the dealer, he came back and offered me 1500 under what dealer would sell my car for. You might ask why that caught my attention....? well his price was 5500 more than I paid for my car in jan last year...bought it comming off a short term exec lease deal that netted me 45% off price of new but with 10,000 miles. Needless to say and sorry to say she's sold 14 months to the day from purchase.

I would never have done if it had been not for me borrowing my bosses taurus for the afternoon the week earlier...that car is spectacular if you like sedans, and I do. Anyhow the CS leaves monday....taurus comes monday (loaded tuxedo black) and wife agreed to new GT in 3 years when our freestyle is paid for a while....enjoyed the site, love the car...one of many stangs for me over the years..I wish you guys all the best and a thanks for all the great info I learned around here. Just realized how much time I spent lurking and only recently signed up....again really enjoyed my time.

It is better to have GT/CS'd and sold it on
than to never have GT/CS'd at all.

Good luck and don't let anyone teach you anything you don't want to learn.

Hey just because you got a Taurus, doesn't mean you have to leave the site! Is it an SHO at least??

Or is it the CLI Taurus?? I hear that's the most common model that Mustangs get traded in for.

(Sorry, couldn't resist)

Nah, you're a good group...can't get rid of me that easy. I left her behind today, felt bad untill the seat mesager thingie kicked in and the 'gawd help me this thing rides smooth' calmness over took me....oh ford did real good on these cars. Anyhow....I wanted the CLI model but it was on back order of a 'period' of time (LOL) so we took the optioned up SEL....goes with my 40ness and gray hair I guess...but I will be back in 5.0 fashion in the reasonably near future. Just so you know the taurus will receive the 5.0 in 2012 as an SHO option...this I know for a fact
