I personally don't like the parchment with anything but the red, and even then it looks a bit out of place with the black accents, but that's just me. It looks good with the red if it's just the plain solid GT interior.

You get what you want don't let the dealer talk you into something you don't want!
I agree. The problem is finding an 08 with the options I want. I'm trying to take advantage of the incentives for the 08 if possible. Thanks for the pictures and the input.

2K7GTS, thats my interior... what is that **** in front of your door handle?
Starfire, where did you get your floor mats?
Personally I like the Parchment interior. It has some color, the dove is so bland and colorless...like Black and white. I get more comments on my interior as a two tone and the parchment interior. To each their own.

Thats a tweeter speaker, I've got component speakers in the doors. Best spot I could find. I wanted to flush mount them but there simply was not enough depth in the door panel.

Well, the dealership found an 08 GT/CS with everything I want on it except for the spoiler delete, but they agreed to swap the trunk off a V6 with no spoiler for mine and swap the faux gas cap, so I signed the papers today and it should be shipped in, unfortunately it is 750 miles away, by this weekend or early next week. Thanks everyone for your help with my questions. I'll post pics up as soon as I get it.

Are you swapping the rear faux gas cap that says California Special or the actual gas door with the faux aluminum trim?

RIGHT ON !!!! I sat in a Vista Blue Shelby GT 500 at the dealership, I was thinking of buying one last year, l sat inside for about 15 minutes.....the interior is too dark and bland. On Sept. 7, 2007 I ordered my 2008 Vista Blue GT/CS with the parchment interior. What a difference, so much more lively than the plain jane gray or black interiors.

We'll be swapping the rear faux gas cap that says California Special. The gas door with the aluminum trim isn't stock is it?

I agree with you on the parchment for the blue, but I think the dove matches well with the white, which is the color I'm getting.

Yes, you're correct. I had a "moment". Just wanted to make sure you were getting the California Special emblem, but you had it covered. Enjoy your new car when you get it.

I agree with you. I am all for two tone interiors. Too many plain jane one color fits all interiors, just so the manufacturer can save a buck. I know, my Camry is all gray inside. The Mustang does offer some nice interior options to choose from with the right color combination.

Well, picked her up today and couldn't be happier. The dealership is getting a V6 with no spoiler in on Friday which we will be swapping trunks with and the California Special badge. Thanks everyone for your input. I'm sure I'll be posting more soon on future mods.

You guys have any advice on waxing around, or over, the stripe? Do I keep the wax off the stripe or wax over it? Obviously want to keep it from showing around the edges of the stripe. Thanks.

This has always been a dilemna of mine. The best advice I can give is to not wipe across the stripe at 90 degree angles that will increase the odds of the strip lifting at the edges and the wax getting underneath. Wipe with the stripe. When I started doing this I got good results. Also I have not had a problem since doing this of waxing the stripe. The side stripe is much different than the BSM vinyl Shelby stripes. Its almost like a clear sticker with a black backing. Just don't let the edges of the stripe curl up like I have on my black car!

I wax right over the stripe as well following the lines of the stripe. Only been a few months for me, but no problems with it.

It's been a while, as you can see from the post of when I received the car, and after getting the runaround for this long the dealership called and they finally have a white mustang with no spoiler coming in to swap trunks with mine. I'll believe it when I see it but it's got me excited again that this part will finally be done with.

We got everything swapped out. It feels good to finally have this completed. I know it's nothing special as many have the spoiler delete but I love the way it looks without it. Here's a couple of pics also showing 20% tint.
