Speaker Vibration?

Does anyone have any problems with the speakers vibration loudly. I assume it might be the speaker covers. Even when I have the base turned all the way down they still vibrate. It is so annoying!

I have the Shaker 500.

Help please!

Thanks

There is a TSB out for it. I just had mine done today. Got it back 2 hours ago. My buddy(a ford tech) took it down this morning and did it. Mine wasn't bad, just with songs with a lot of bass in the passenger side door, I had one dealership look at it and they found nothing. He said he found a tsb on it, so he drove it to work and took care of it, and got paid for it. Take it to the dealer and they shouldn't have a problem.

Technical Service Bulletin, not a recall. Your dealer can access these anytime and there are sites online for you as well.

May sound funny... My left door base speaker was making a small rattling noise / vibration.....took it in to dealer.... Wife had put a couple of ball point pins in the door "pocket" / storage area....hence the rattle.....

Probably not your problem, but check those storage pockets ----- lest you feel/look like a "#$%@#" at the dealer......Actually, I had them check it during a routine oil/filter change.... Oh yeah, after removing the couple of pens in there --- Shaker 500 has been fine.

Do you have the actual TSB? If not, do you have the TSB#?

Yeah the TSB # would be very helpful. I have been looking all over the internet and haven't found anything.

Thanks.

Get a slight vibration in passenger door speaker 07 CS Shaker 500. Typical with certain songs, ie Nickelback "Fight for all the Wrong Reasons". Was gonna take it apart myself, but if there's a TSB, I'll take it to the Dealer.
Anything other than the 07-17-6?

Ok so listen to this. After dropping my car off this morning, I just spoke with Ford and they said they cannot confirm the vibration because one of the songs that I asked them to listen to (that confirms the vibration) is a cd that I made and the vibration must be confirmed with an actual cd that you purchase in a store.

They also said there is NO, I repeat NO TSB on this issue. If you read this anytime soon IowaBeef it would be greatly appreciated if you could give your guy at Ford a call and get some more information for us all.

I am SOOOOOOOOO annoyed right now at Ford. They don't give a SH*T about anything but selling cars...

Update: I brought a store bought cd back to Ford with the same song and a technician actually put in some effort and decided to listen to the speakers for me.

What we discovered together was that it was not the speakers that were vibrating. Instead it is the door panel where the window buttons reside.

So for anyone who is experiencing this vibrating sound try gently pushing on the panel where your window buttons are as well as gently holding the window buttons themselves and see if you are experiencing the same problem.

I will let you know what Ford does to solve the problem.

Stay tuned!

Got this from a guy over at s197forum:

Tsb 07-17-06 Buzz/rattle
FORD:
2005-2008 Mustang

ISSUE:

Some 2005-2008 Mustang vehicles built before 8/2/2007 may experience a buzz/rattle from the door panels when using the radio/CD player at elevated volumes or bass levels or voice broadcasts. This may be due to the window switch bezel vibrating against the door trim panel. This can often be incorrectly diagnosed as an audio speaker buzz or a bad speaker.
ACTION:

Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition by applying foam tape to the window switch bezel.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
  1. Remove window switch bezel from door panel and separate the two piece bezel.
  2. Install three (3) pieces of PVC soft foam tape 3/8" wide by 1 3/4" long (10 mm by 45 mm) part number 164-R4901 from the Rotunda Squeak and Rattle Repair Kit part number 164-R4900.
  3. Reinstall window switch bezel and verify proper operation of the window switches.
WARRANTY STATUS:

Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage
IMPORTANT: Warranty coverage limits/policies are not altered by a TSB. Warranty coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part.

Would a C&L intake and FRPP Stingers void my warranty?
I want to take it in and get the buzz fixed.
