Shelby wannabe cracked me up
Shelby wannabe cracked me up
On the way to work this morning some dude with a black GT and golden le mans stripes pulls next to me and revs it up. Wasn't in the mood at 6:30am so I let him go. He actually had the shelby emblems on the back and sides. Too bad, because the car looked pretty sweet in black and it was lowered with nice rims. IMO, he should have kept the shelby emblems off his GT...just destroyed the whole image knowing it was not what he was pretending to be. What I don't understand is that he went through all the trouble fo change the hood, rims (not shelby), lowered, stripes, etc. but didn't bother changing out the rear facia, rear spoiler (yes, it has the wing type) Just cracks me up.

It's a rental car through Hertz, some have been sold on the open market. It was out before the Shelby GT, the GT-H is kind of a mix between a GT and a Shelby GT.

"Ford Racing Performance Parts Improve Performance, Handling
Horsepower for the 4.6L SOHC 3-Valve-powered GT-H is increased 25 horsepower to 325 and torque is increased 10 pound-feet to 330 thanks in part to Ford Racing exhaust including a new crossover pipe, which makes its debut in the GT-H."

Just my two cents, but I think there's an irony here somewhere. And maybe a lesson.
I added the Shelby GT/GT-H grille to my 07 GT/CS, but that's just cuz I love the look. I wasnt looking to clone.
One thing I wish of the GT-H is that the hood was functional. The fake grille inserts on the hood look cheapy.
I like the bump up on it, I'd cut out the opening
