Quick exhuast Q?

Just got the 07 blue CS and my first mustang in this body style. Wonderful car, but i just put the super 44 flowmasters in the back and while it sounds great outside there is a touch to much drone inside at around 35-40 mph. Any cure? Do i change the middle H out? Thanks Bob. I will get some Pics up soon.

I have the Pypes mid muffler system, and while the drone isn't too bad, it's still there. I plan on putting the Mac Prochamber in at some point to see if that helps, but also to deepen he sound.

Buy a set of tires with a more "aggressive" tread pattern: the whine and woowoowoowoowoowoo noise will drown the drone.

I have FRPP M5230-GTA mufflers on both cars; they sound good outside and at full throttle, no noticeable drone. Flowmasters are notorious droners. Wouldn't surprise me if there are a lot of them out there in scrap or in storage.

I have Borla 11752 axle back on my CS. They sound good and if you would call the deep mellow tone between 1500 & 2k drone, I like it!! At least I can hear the engine at cruise speeds.

The simple fact is that any muffler that is going to increase noise is going to exhibit at least some drone. There's really no way around that.

Mentioned earlier is the fact that you can drive around the drone though. Not always the best for mileage, but it's a sure-fire way to get rid of the drone.

Changing out to a different mid-pipe will probably make that drone worse.

My boom tubes don't drone very much at all. But then again, their not really mufflers...
