Great news Fritz! You are purchasing an awesome vehicle and I haven't heard anyone yet who regretted their buy. Maybe you can get a show of hands to give you some more confidence in your decision.

All smiles all the time with a GT/CS

White is a great choice as well. Good luck and maybe I will see you around when I am traveling to Amish country this coming spring.

Fritz - congrats now the wait Hope you're in the 6 to 8 week timeframe - you are going to like this GT/CS - I've had mine a month now and like it a lot.

Awake - when you have a moment see if you can get a pic with those amber lenses on your fogs lit up....I'd like to see what the effect is. Have you ever been challenged by a LEO over those?

I'm getting a coupe and the manual, my knees are feeling better these days. It will be the first manual i have purchased in 25 years (i'm going to have to be retrained on driving a manual), but it should be fun.

FRITZ as soon as you sit in it, adjust your seat to whats comfortable for you it will all come naturally, just like riding a bike but with something that sounds better than a playing card stuck in the spokes ! You will absoulutley love it and watch You will also aquire the ability to have a Perma Grin 24/7 for at least a week gaurenteed !

Ya know.. there has been a lot of back and forth on the 5sp man and the 5sp auto. The 5sp auto in my current '05 GT is one fine trans. I think i'm just feeling my oats, and need a change. And at age 53, it will add a little excitement to things.

Auto would be nice in like SanFransico but if you have problems with kness or legs you may need to rethink it, I'm 43 and its a pretty simple clutch and way to easy to chirp the wheels. Go with what you are most comfortable with. Change is good look I just got an 05 GT in April 05 and am now waiting for an 07 GT/CS I sure hope its good. As I think I'm past the point of no Return lol.

Well, it does depend on your physical condition (eg, knee problems, etc) somewhat but I don't think age in itself has a lot to do with the decision between 5 spd and auto. Both my wife's car and my daily driver are auto trannies, and I live in a small city of about 165K population so it's not overcrowded. Still, I debated a lot about which way to go. In the end, I got the 5 speed in my GT/CS and I'm glad I did for the fun factor.

BTW, I'm 62.

Great Choice and sounds like a good deal! I've been extremely happy with mine since I bought it, no complaints what so ever. Manual 5 speed is the only way to go.

Waiting on mine, Black CS auto with all the extras except the shaker 1000. I would like a manaul but wife refuses to learn how to drive it and she will drive it on a very rare occassion. A Thanksgiving baby, I hope.....Courious why over invoice. There are three CS at a dealer here in Va Bch, all manual. One Blue, one white (both coupe) and one black vert. all with the 3.55 rear end. Sweet cars...... cant wait for mine to arrive.
