New member - just picked up an '08 GT/CS
Hi everyone!
Great forum!
I picked up a '08 Perf White GT/CS tonight after convincing the "boss." She loves it too!!.
I also own an '82 GT 5.0 with 19K and every option known to man. I don't drive it much..I've had it for 18 years and thought it was time to get a new one. The GT/CS will be my daily driver come spring time.
We had to drive it 125 mi from the dealership where I found it and I cannot belive how much different these cars are from the Fox bodies. A night and day difference.
I'm happy to be back!!

"Oh Happy Days"
A big Welcome and Congrats Sir John! From a bunch of S197 Cal-Mustang crazies here!! Happy that you were able to find one of these beauties, before they are soon to be all gone! No more GT/CS's will be done in 2010. Trust me Bro. Once you have driven it for a bit, you shall really love having your own GT/CS Pony! "RC".. P.S. Here is our CalStang. We planning on keeping him forever, to give to our son Samuel.

Very nice !
It is nice to see a white GT/CS . Around western PA - eastern OH , it is hard to find a white Mustang of any description, let alone a GT/CS ! Any color around here but white. Is the interior dove or parchment/w black ?

Parchment / black
Thanks to everyone! I'm happy to be back in the hobby after a long break. The prior body styles didn't do much for me. My Brother-in-law bought a silver '06 GT that is sharp and I've been holding myself back until recently. This one is going to be my daily driver since the boss said no more "garage queens" I think I'll comply with her wishes and have fun doing it.
I really don't want to drive it in the winter at least until it has a few K on it. Does anyone have any suggestions about covering up the inner wheel wells, floor pans to prevent rust? I was thinking epoxy paint since I hate undercoating. Or is there a better solution.
As to where are the pics? We have about 6 in of snow covering ice and are expecting some more tomorrow. I made room in the garage and if it sits until March..I don't care. Well, I do but.. I'll take some as soon as the weather breaks to share with everyone.

"Plenum Cover"
Na. The 2007's did not come with a plenum cover, unless you got the GT Appearence Package. We asked the Ford dealership to throw that in, to close the sale deal, when we got the CalStang. You can buy them out there for around $80.00 I believe? Maybe less now? "RC"

Welcome and congrats. The CS will get you lots of looks from everyone. I walked out from the Panda Express a few days ago and found a cop looking inside and around my car. I asked him what the issue was, and he started telling me about his 68'.
And may I also mention what a great choice in color.

Got a pic
Finally chipped away 3in of ice on the driveway. It sounds like I might have to drive it sooner than expected..the "beater" has developed a rod knock.
