New California Special Emblem

Here's my new California Special emblem. It's in metallic silver with black shadowing. I had it made at Signnetwork.com.

Very retro! If I had a new CS, I'd definately adopt some of the styling cues from the original '68s.

Marcus,

That is "bad ***" dude... Really sharp looking. I agree, it's got that retro look. Probably would look good on my Vista Blue Cali-Special... Thanks for the photo...

Thanks for the compliments! In case anyone decides to have one made, the font I used is called Mistral. Total cost of the emblem was $13.89.

That's what I was thinking too. Did you swap a V6 spoiler for your stock one? Why not go with the Shelby style spoiler instead if you are going to swap one out. Unless...

...Unless it came that way from the dealer.

I think I'd go for a duck-tail spoiler like the old ones had.

If my GT/CS came with the regular GT spoiler, I would've taken it off and gotten a ducktail spoiler since I really like those. But, it came with the V6 spoiler somehow and I actually like how it looks so I'm stickin with it. It makes people go hmmmm...

Hmmmm...just found this tonight...

This is an alternative if I decide to remove the vinyl emblem. I would shave the pins off and stick it on with automotive adhesive.

It actually came from the factory with the V6 spoiler? Or, did the dealer swap in the V6 spoiler? I hate the stock spoiler and that is one of the first things I did was to swap in a Shelby style spoiler.

I'm almost certain the dealer swapped the spoilers since the V6 one isn't even an option on the GT or GT/CS.

Which dealer did you buy yours from? I bought mine from Sunnyvale Ford.

I bought mine from The Ford Store in Morgan Hill. I didn't even see or test drive the car before buying it and didn't plan on getting a CS model. All I wanted was a white V8 stang. They told me they found a white GT/CS at another dealer in Concord and asked if I wanted it for $28,800 so I said ok. I signed the paperwork and they brought it down to their dealership the next day and called me to come get it. When I saw it, I was like...

I immediately noticed the different spoiler and really liked it. Didn't know it was a V6 spoiler at the time but found out a couple days later.
