Just got mine!
Hi All,
I'm new to the forums. I lurked here for a while before joining. Especially in this particular forum, because of my interest in the GT/CS.
Reading how everyone seems to love theirs definitely made me feel better about purchasing one myself.
Anyway, I picked up my new GT/CS last night. Black with black/parchment interior. Manual tranmission, 3.55 rear-end.
All I can say is it's freaking grogeous ( to me anyway ). The guys at the lot had not seen one before and all seemed to like the two-tone interior.
So far, so good. Although I already have some ideas as to some modifications I'd like to make
Anyway, my two cents. Glad to be a "member" of the club!

Congratulations!!! Be careful with the mods. It becomes like an addiction. The car calls to you begging for more and more, at least that is what I tell my wife. She asks why I do it and I say, "because it pleases me".

I couldn't quite wait, so I went ahead and ordered a Hurst shifter and some Pypes axle-backs.
Those were the first things I changed on my first Mustang back in '93, so I guess it's nostalgia working on me .....

I ordered my 2008 Vista Blue GT/CS on Sept. 7, 2007. I bought a 1965 2+2 blue fastback in March 1969 from a buddy going to Vietnam. Needless to say, my orders for Vietnam came in May 1969. I sold the car in June of 1969 just before I went to Nam, atleast I have one picture of the old Stang. I caught the Mustang bug again after nearly 40 years. The looks of the 2008 Stangs are classic looking, so similar to my 1965 2+2 fastback. I was determined to relive my youth, it's like 1969 all over again, but atleast this time I won't have to say goodbye, because my 2008 GT/CS is going to be a keeper. The dealer say's arrival should be about Nov. 15, 10 days prior to my 58th birthday. This is an awesome website. I enjoy reading all the stories. Keep up the great job !

I received a pleasant surprise when I went to sign the paperwork and pick up my 2008 Vista Blue GT/CS yesterday Oct. 31.
Since I paid in full for the car, Mr. Fred Weeks took off another $1,000.00 (Swap Bonus) dropping my purchase price to $28,602.00. With taxes, tags and processing fee the total came to $30,222.85. I had a choice for the low APR or $1,000.00 rebate so it was a no brainer. The ambient lighting while driving 30 miles to my house really set the mood, along with blasting the 60's music from the Sirius radio. I'll go back tomorrow to pick up my DAV Maryland tags and 3-bar pony spinners for the wheels. This was the most pleasant car buying experience of my life. Next Thursday Nov. 8th at 1900 hours, the dealership has a buffet dinner and get acquainted seminar for new car buyers, heck I'm going just for the food....maybe I'll learn something too during the seminar !
