Talking Just got home with a new 2008 Candy Apple GT/CS

Well It took about a week of dealing but we finally made it happen. I just got done playing with the ambient lighting in the garage. I love this car. I had to sell my prestine '93 Mustang GT to get it but I think it was worth it. I was due for a change. I love the candy apple color in the sun! The only thing it does not have is the interior upgrade. I think I'll swap the cluster someday for mycolor. I just didn't have the patients to order one. Oh ya, I also went with a 5-speed manual. It is so much fun to drive manual again.

By the way, nice to meet you guys! I'm Den. I've been reading and looking at pictures for a while here, but this is my first actual post.

It is too dark out to take pics right now so I'll take some tomorrow morning.

Later,

Den

Yeah. Falchion I think is his name would be interested in seeing the pictures.

Let's see the ambient lighting in action and your opinion on it.

Did you get HIDs?

Congrats
You gotta love the idiot managers that order ambient lights and no IUP.
Hey, is he the first candy apple here?

Do the managers place these first orders? Or are they just given what is available?

They had a Candy Apple at the dealer I'm looking at. I posted a couple camera phone pics on the brochure thread.

They actually place the orders, but sometimes they are told certain things are not available.
Usually they do not read up on the product enough to understand the best mix.

ok, ok. here is a few I took at the dealer. . . These were taken with my phone so quality is not the best. I'll take some more when I get home from work tomorrow. The ambient lighting is hard to capture. In real life it looks very sweet.

Thanks a lot guys! I forgot to mention it does not have the HID's. That doesn't bug me too much though. I was thinking everyone would be shooting me the brights if I had them.

Believe it or not my wife says it's too quiet! She liked how loud my '93 was (not very loud). Looks like the first thing going on will be mufflers. Does anyone know where I might find a website that lets you listen to different exhaust setups? Any help would be awsome.

The dealer says they could install black shelby stripes on it for $500. By Shelby they mean they would go all the way to the ground (front and rear). Twin 10" stripes with 1 inch between. It would also be striped over the hood scoop. I can get the decals for $200, but I'm thinking it might come out better if it were installed by a pro that has done it before. I held off for now because I didn't want to make any quick rash decisions at the dealer. What do you guys think? Stripes or no stripes.

Den - VERY NICE ! It really looks good. I'm gonna have to go to a dealer to look at one up close and personal.
It'd be tough to order another new one now, let's see, V/B or C.A.R. ??
BTY, my wife thought it was too quiet also, so I bought GTA's. Much improved, I previously posted some Db readings. Doesn't tick off the neighbors, but they know we're here ....

And no stripes, that red is just too beautiful all alone...
