How to locate the car i want!!

OK So now that my 65 fastback is gone (stolen) i went to a local ford dealer, I want a black GT/CS convert, auto, IUP the works. The dealer finds 3 but can't get the other dealers to trade up. I asked where are they and the jerk tells me I'm sorry i can't tell you. Needless to say i told him thanks now your never getting my sale. How can i find the car i want and go directly to that dealer, Is there a locator. The ford site just gives you the closest thing but not what i want. Anyone know how i can find the car i want and go to that dealer?

You can do a dealer locate and brouse their inventory, once you found the vehicle you want you can contact them directly or via the internet.

Hope this helps

Sucks. I had a similar problem in that the other dealers did not want to dealer trade. My dealer finally made them an offer they couldn't refuse. DOn't know exactly what it was, but I will stick with this dealer, they did a good job.

A second dealer I was dealing with said there were't any out there like what I wanted, but he would keep his eyes open. Theat was 3 months ago, and I still haven't heard from him.

I would do some dealer shopping. I think if he wants that car bad enough for you, he could get it.

If they really won't dealer trade, then you kinda have to understand his position. There being A***, then he's supposed to send them business?

Go to another dealer and ORDER what you want. You have to wait, but it is well worth it. That dealership could KISS my A$$ too.

Use Ford Direct (they find it for you) or search dealer inventory in your area:

Ford Link

+1 ...use a 1000 mile radius if you have to - but don't give your 1st dealer your business - he didn't earn it!!

Order one man. I read an article stating that mustangs sit on lots 64 days before being sold now. Rust damamge is the biggest conern as you will spot a Lot of rusted break dics on lots. Get exactly what you want and the time table should only be 4-8 weeks. I know its torture, but think about how fresh and new that car will be. Mmm.

If there is a car broker in your area he/she should be able to find one and often at a better price than you can get. Check your yellow pages.
