Here's my story
I've always been a Camaro/Corvette guy until I saw a 03 Mach 1 at a dealer in the summer of 03. I bought a Torch red Mach 1 (my 1st Ford) December of 03 at the famous Burt Weinman Ford on the north side of Chicago. On a unusually warm early December day in 05 I took the Mach out for a drive and happened upon a friend of a friend and after he drooled over the car for a few hours much to my surprise made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I had no intention of selling that car , but an offer close to what I had paid for the car two years prior and 8K miles later convinced me I should do it. I've regretted it ever since. I really liked the 05-06 mustang GT's but something in my eyes was missing. So I proceeded to make a bigger mistake than selling the Mach 1 by impulsively buying a new 06 GTO. The car was wicked fast but needless to say sat in the garage covered up for most of its life (ugly car). Then it happened, I saw my first GT/CS in the parking lot at Chicagoland Speedway in the summer of 07. It was a Vista Blue Coupe w/quarter window scoops, what a sight. I immediately began researching the GT/CS option and trying to figure a way to get out of that GTO. To be honest I've never seen a GT/CS I didn't like so after a year of agonizing over a color I decided on Grabber Orange. By June of 08 I could only find 2 5speed coupes within 500 miles of Chicago. I opted for the one with the GT appearance pkg. I traded the GTO in on the GT/CS in July 08 and have never looked back. I love the car so much I've put the list of mods on the back burner and am just enjoying the hell out of it.

Welcome to TMS. The '07 GT/CS is my first Mustang. I've been waiting a long time for it, but I also could not resist the GT/CS package. Mines black and I have been unable to lay off the mods so far.

Welcome to TMS! beautiful car, I'd like to have a vista blue GT/CS, but you can't get the all charcoal interior that I want

Nice Car and Welcome! My 08 GT/CS is my first Ford and I love it. Problem is, now that you're here it is only a matter of time before the "Mod Bug" bites you and there is no cure.

Congrats. I originally ordered a GT, but kept looking at the GT/CS and wondering if I made the right decision. In the end, I had to have the CS, so I cancelled my original order. I just loved the look too much so I know how you feel and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

Yeah I hear ya. The first two mods on my list are two you have. The GT 500 spoiler and Hurst shifter. Whats a good price for each?

I have the Ford OEM GT500 spoiler. Was~$220 shipped, unpainted. I got it online through a dealer in Georgia. I found the part number and did a google search. Aftermarket GT500 style spoilers are available painted for much less, but I didn't want to add any additional screw holes, which is often the case.
I did the same with the Billet Hurst Shifter. I paid around $218 shipped. I think that came from Florida.

You'll love the Hurst. I'm spoilerless -- so don't have anything to tell you there. Try Cleavenger -- you can find it on this Board. KC there will set you up at good prices with any Ford / or FRPP parts you need. You can get the FRPP version of the Hurst which is outstanding.
