I just got a used 07 gtcs vert and it has the standard interior. I thought they had to be ordered with the IUP package. Also i get the car home and the front spoiler is scratched to hell and the rear bumper must have been hit, there is an 8x8 blue discoloration on it . What the hell it only has 10,000 miles. Any help guys???????

No pics of the scratches, but what approach do i take with the dealership? And no IUP i thought they all had them, but the window sticker is a gtcs

 

Does it have the plaque in the center of the dash?

 

No i wasnt aware of any dash plaque. The window sticker shows all the options

 

 

I have never seen that in any of them. It is a 2007. I have seen many gtcs and none of them have that badge. Is that aftermarket. I have the window sticekr with the options on it and the vin checks out as a gtcs.

All the ones I have seen have had a plaque. But I have not seen alot of them. I just thought it was standard.

Sounds like eveything is good other then the bumper. Talk to the sales manager and ask what they can do about it. You might get a few bucks dropped off of it.

 

What do you think i should say to the dealership about the bumpers??

 

"hey it looks like my car was in a fender bender. I was not told of this and feel a little cheated. how can we make this right?"

 

It was a pre owned with 10,000 i dont think htey will care, but they didnt tell me about the bumpers and i couldnt see it in the dark when i picked it up, they said mint. Do you think they will fix any of it.

 

I think they will be willing to work with you if you talk to the sales manager. Get everything in writing. Tell them you were told it was mint. Show him the damage and ask him if thats his idea of mint.

New or used when some one tells you something is mint that what you are owed. If they were asking for certian amount of money and you gave them less they would be pissed. They gave you less car and so you should feel the same.

 

That's because many dealerships lie without conscience....it's religion for them. I know...I've been through hell and back fighting a corrupt dealership. Don't settle....fight the bastards.

I Traded in an 03 mach 1 with 23 thousand on it, in mint, no scratches. This whole car has scratches. I mean i like it its vista blue with a black stripe. And a convertible. I cant wait to call tomorrow. BUt i think i willhave a fight on my hands. How can they fix it though, bumpers are 300-400 without paint and installation, I dont feel they will even try

 

The key is to not give up. it make take 2 weeks and lot s of phone calls. If the sales manager wont work with you get the owner of the dealerships phone number. They fight things by drawing them out and hope people give up. The sad thing is that they win most of the time with this tactic.

 

I don't think this is a GT/CS guys. Not only is it a regular non-IUP dash... the wheel's also not right, is it? Maybe it's a wanna be, maybe the dash bits were taken out for a 'look' thing the previous owner wanted, but something's definitely weird here...

Where's that website that lets you plug in the VIN of the car and get it's window sticker? Methinks that's what's needed here... 'Cause if you bought something you thought was a GT/CS... well, you didn't, at least, not in that picture.

RE: the other stuff... don't buy a car at night. And don't be in a hurry. Disregarding that, of course, the other advice upstairs here is correct: Go see what you can do.

/not hopeful, but maybe they care about customer service.

My '08 GT/CS does not have a dash plaque..don't know about '07's

Just a thought...
Maybe they just slapped another steering wheel and dash on it instead of a proper airbag replacement after the accident.
It could have been cheaper.
