I was locking at a 07 black gtcs mustang i'm a newbie so be easy lol, but every gtcs i've seen has the stripes on the doors on the top middle of the doors this one has them on the bottom.It passed the carfax test but just wondering Thanks!!

 

GT/CS stripes are mid height from factory and appear on the fender in front of the wheel well, in back of the wheel well and on the door.

It's possible the previous owner just got some new stripes and relocated it. You should be able to tell by the VIN if it's a real cal special. What color is the upholstery? Most people don't feel like changing the dash, so it should either be dove/black or parchment/black, that might also be a dead giveaway. Only reason I didn't get a CS was because I didn't want the lighter dash.

 

Sorry but there is nothing in the VIN to determine whether it is a CS or not.
#1- Easy way is check the interior, seats should be two tone not a solid color ( black and Parchment or Black and Dove )
#2- look at the lower front grill, it should have a scoupe there, GT is just plain.
#3- rear bumper, should have black fins on the lower half, regular GT is again just plain.
#4- side scoops, Limited to the CS but a lot of people have added them aftermarket.

The lower stripes are usually the pony stripes on a V6 say "Mustang" and are solid color three stripe racing stripe style. For a CS they should say "GT/CS" and tend to fade away towards the end of the door. On an 07 they should be black also.

Thanks everybody it has 1-4 and also the chrome mufflers with a nice sound just the GTCS stripes on the lower half.

that's why I'm hanging on to my window sticker. That's the ONLY way to prove in the future that my car is a GT/CS - Just in the off chance that these cars become collectibles.

 

or just show us the vin # one of us can look it up to see ?
