GT/CS still not well known in my area
I went to the Eureka Springs Mustang Show this weekend and within 10 minutes of getting out of my car I had 4 people come up to me and ask what the CS stood for. I guess it surprised me a little bit. I only saw 1 or 2 more at the show so I guess they still aren't very common around here.
I to get asked if it stands for Carroll Shelby, but i say NO it stands for Chevy's Suck & I always get a chuckle, then I explain it is a California Special and most people know what this is.

Day two that I owned my car I let a total stranger drive it she parked beside me @ Costco with a new Ford well taken care of she got out looked at my GT/CS a while asked some questions, so I asked her if she'd like to take it for a drive, (with me) she was floored ! btw she now owns one.

It's not all about looks you know,(SHE HAD A SPARKLING PERSONALITY) I sized the situation up first,(I WONDER IF I CAN GET ANYWHERE WITH HER?) I was really impressed yet embarrassed that she I think could shift way smoother that I could ?(DOES SHE REALLY BELIEVE THAT LINE?) blew me away
and she was rather striking

^^LOL. That's actually how I fell for my wife. I did know her slightly and she asked me to drive my car. At the time a '69 Camaro, built 327 and a four speed manual. With the big cam and way too big carburetor it wasn't the easiest car to get moving from a stop. I thought I'd be in for a good laugh. Well, she didn't stall it and drove like a champ. We'll be celebrating 30 years together this August

Yep, I agree. Been going to a lot of car shows lately. Seem to meet a lot of good people there.
