GT/CS still not well known in my area

I went to the Eureka Springs Mustang Show this weekend and within 10 minutes of getting out of my car I had 4 people come up to me and ask what the CS stood for. I guess it surprised me a little bit. I only saw 1 or 2 more at the show so I guess they still aren't very common around here.

Gassed up the other day and a guy in an early '90s T-Bird with exhaust asked me what CS stood for.

Told him California Special and he said "so it has California emissions"

Same here in the south. Took mine to a cruise in and put my FPG Cert. in the window and there was many questions after they read it.

I go to car shows a lot and most people never head of a CS. I've gotten these two questions "Does CS stand for Carol Shelby?" or my fav "Is that a Cobra Snake?" Yes!

After three years of car shows, we still get the question. "Is that factory or a custom Mustang"? "RC"

It's not all about looks you know, I sized the situation up first, I was really impressed yet embarrassed that she I think could shift way smoother that I could ? blew me away and she was rather striking

Chevy Sucks... I will have to use that one next time.

I was in a parking lot in Austin Texas and some tool walks by and says...

"Nice car. It would look better if it was a Chevy though."

To which I responded...

"Maybe. But it would be slower."

^^LOL. That's actually how I fell for my wife. I did know her slightly and she asked me to drive my car. At the time a '69 Camaro, built 327 and a four speed manual. With the big cam and way too big carburetor it wasn't the easiest car to get moving from a stop. I thought I'd be in for a good laugh. Well, she didn't stall it and drove like a champ. We'll be celebrating 30 years together this August

We saw you at Eureka, real nice car. CS is a special ride, with low numbers. Glad you made it.

I hear ya! Someone is always talking to me at red lights here in town. They seem to think the CS stands for Carroll Shelby
